"Le Concours d'Elegance"

Submission Guidelines

"How do I submit a bike for display?"

Take some pictures of your bike, up to a maximum of three per bike. Attach them to an E-mail and add the following info (items in bold must be included):

Also, if you wish a particular one of your pictures to be used as the thumbnail (all pictures will be shown full size as well), please indicate which one you want me to use in the letter. Otherwise I will choose one.

Oh, and please submit each bike in a seperate mailing.

"I don't like the purple satin! Can I have a different background in my showcase?"

Yes. If you dont like he Default purple satin background, you can choose a different background from the lists on this page. Or you may have a solid color BG if you wish. Be sure to make a note these choices in your submission list (see above).

"Is there a limit to how many bikes can I show or how long I can show them?"

Yes;

  1. You may display only one bike at a time in each showroom. Since there are five showrooms, you can have as many as five bikes displayed. You can always replace any bike in any showroom at any time with another bike.
  2. The same bike cannot be displayed in more than one show room at the same time. You may move a bike from one showroom to another, assuming it qualifies for that showroom. Just remember rule #1.
  3. Any bike presented for display will remain in it's showroom for as long as these web pages exist, or until you ask me to delete it, move it into a different showroom, or replace it with a different bike.

"What format can I send pictures in? How big can they be?"

Pictures should be sent in a commonly used format, such as .gif, .jpg, .bmp .tif etc. Try not to exceed 100KB per photo. I will convert all photos into JPEG (.jpg) and resize them to 600 x 400 pixels, or nearest equivalent. Most ink-jet printers will render this at about 5" x 7", depending on the shape of the image, of course.

"Can I use the Concours to sell my bike?"

No. That's what E-Bay is for.

Send submissions or requests for changes via E-mail titled "Concours d'Elegance" to ChrisZCorner@webtv.net.
