Svetlana Uspenskaya - recordsman of the World among the women,
repeated champion of Europe and World.
Svetlana was born on July 20, 1965 in
Kiev. The enthusiasm of the parents by underwater sport long time
for Sveta remained imperceptible. Per six years the girl takes
a great interest in dances, becomes singer of studio of national
dance of a regional House of the pioneers, acts in concerts. Very
small, flexible, it is surprising plastic, with good musical hearing
and any inherent feeling of a rhythm - she quickly progressed.
The teachers in one vote prophesied to her the large future...
The enthusiasm of the Kiev schoolboys by figured driving on skates
has not passed past Svetlana those years. Here again at her it
turned out not bad. And the school teacher of physical culture
persuaded seriously to engage in gymnastics...
And still, despite of other attachments,
Sveta has come in the specialized sport school for children and
youth of republican sea club DOSAAF with firm intention to become
a sportsman as her father. Simply could reach. Probably, love
to sport of the father was transferred also to daughter.Not
one has come. Has resulted with itself whole classmates. Here
so since October 28, 1975 the sports biography of the champion
and recordsman of the World also began. Was to her in that year
10 years.
In two months Svetlana becomes the prize-winner
among the beginners on school competitions. And is farther than
the special victories was not. The very strong structure of the
sportsmen trained in groups of the trainer Uspenskiy. Judge. Only
in structure modular USSR on II Championships of the World of 1980
Kiev SSCJ "delegated" six men!
In the spring of 1979 on final competitions
the USSR Cup which was taking place in Tallin, Svetlana Uspenskaya
have entrusted to act in structure of female relay races of a modular
team of Ukraine. In result fourteen years old girl becomes the co-author
of two world records in relay.
Two years after, on the USSR Cup in Baku,
Svetlana won at once three female distances: 400, 800 and 1500 m.
In August, 1982, on a championship of the USSR - three gold medals
and as much of world records!
And then there was a difficult and honourable
examination for young kievite in structure modular of the USSR on
a Championship of the World of 1982. Result - four gold and one
silver medal, and also prize " For will to a victory ". In the same
year Svetlana acts in the Kiev institute of physical culture.
1983. A championship of the USSR, on which
Svetlana Uspenskaya three times rises on a maximum step, on Spartakiada
- wins four distances. And three of them - with new world records!
Thus loved 1500 ì kievite for the first time in the world floats
faster than 14 minutes. On a Championship of Europe in Hungary -
five gold and one silver medal.
Svetlana Uspenskaya continues confidently
to win on championships of the USSR, Spartakiads, Cups, establishes
new world records. The result 13.57.47 on 1500 ì here fourteen years
is a record of Ukraine. On a Championship of the USSR of 1987 Svetlana
floats sea mile (1850 ì) for 17.32.49. This result is a world record
and today!
In October, 1987 in Amsterdam was held I
Championships of Europe in Long Distance. Its participants have
started on distances 3000 and 5000 m. And again success - gold and
silver award. And from a Championship of the World which was taking
place in July, 1988 in France, Svetlana Uspenskaya has come back
with four gold medals and title of absolute champion of the world.
On it Svetlana decides to put a point in the brilliant sports career.
