CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
I can't hear you :
I can't hear you. I caught a cold a week and a half ago, or more aptly, it caught me. I try to Breathe ... but it doesn't work . Thanksgiving was nice I took another beautiful drive ... except this time it was full of ice, snow and freezing rain. I really need new tires. There were cars and SUV's flipped all over the place. It kind of reminded me of my Matchbox cars when I was little. ( I have HotWheels now.) I would crash them into each other and they would end up, like the soccer moms in the urban assault vehicles, flipped all over the side of the road. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Face it mom's you don't need 16 tons of towing capacity to get your kids the preschool. All cars have four wheels. It how well you do keeping them were they belong ... that's the trick. I returned home of Friday and the cold kicked into high gear. I don't think I moved all weekend. I found the remote a little to heavy for me to use. By Monday I was suppose to return to work. Their loss. By Tuesday the cold subsided ... I could stand up straight without waving from side to side. Then the ear plugging infection. I've temporally lost most of my hearing. So as I said I can't hear you. I'll be alright. Hope the rest of you are doing better then I am. With the Christmas Season here ... we'll need it.
Today the world I live in is quiet ... I'm not afraid ... Are you ?
