![]() About Citizens for True DemocracyCitizens for True Democracy, founded in 1998, is a non-partisan public interest organization dedicated to increasing political participation via electoral reform. Based in Claremont, California, CTD is a national network of political activists directed by David Enrich. CTD was founded in the wake of the 1996 presidential elections, which boasted record-breaking low voter turnout along with the highest levels of campaign spending ever. CTD believes that the following fundamental changes to the American political system are necessary for America to finally become a true democracy:

CTD's Senior StaffDavid Enrich (davidenrich@yahoo.com) is the Founder and Director of Citizens for True Democracy. He has served as an expert on voter participation and electoral reform on national radio programs and his research has been published in many publications including The Nation and The Boston Globe. He has also worked as a journalist and a tax policy analyst. David manages CTD's media outreach and coalition building in addition to researching voter participation, the Electoral College, and campaign finance reform. Matt Grossmann (matt@addsheet.com) is CTD's Deputy Director for Grassroots Organizing. He has worked for several years conducting survey research and voting behavior studies at a California research institute. Matt has also worked in the public interest community in Washington, DC and in the British Parliament. Having written extensively on campaign finance reform and proportional representation, he leads CTD's efforts on reforming the electoral system. ![]() |
