In the meantime here's the script for The Film 2003.

There's a whole range of ideas that the film touches on that are important to me and this page would be an opportunity to elaborate on them but then this would become an entire volume of manefestos, unreadable academia and unproductive. So in condensed form:
1. .the film is an accurate representation of my feelings towards film. film is an incredable way for a narrative to be told, for a story to unfold.
2. .magical light flashing from boxes.
3. .colliding worlds. this notion of colliding words can be best expressed through film. this is one of the major themes in the film.
4. .film has the potential to be a forum for several artists of any form (writing, dance, acting, set design, sound design, music, editing, costume, ???) to create on a single canvas, and that this potential has not been explored yet to the extent i believe it can go.
5 .that film also has been abused because of it's potential to be a extremely persuasive form of communication.
6. .elves and faery woodland nymph halflings. dwarf.

So I'm in esoterik and I'm looking at the front display. Several square cd coveres each with cover art. And each square has a different style and a different feel. but now imagine moving the field of vision back a little bit and seeing the entire display as one piece. Now the piece itself is of several squares with seperate visions contained within their respective matrices.
Now imagine one of the lines within one square were to bleed into the other square. This is colliding worlds and this is what can happen with film.
I've done this with painting several times. Painting on the same canvas with friends and that's deffinately something i want to do again.
But like I said and I guess I keep saying it because I cant get enough of this idea is that film can be several friends painting on one canvas except times infinity. Because here we're not just working with paint and canvas, we're working with anything and everything. So now I'm going to stop talking about how great film is and just make another one!.!.! Anyone interested? How about let's film The Tower in spring 2005 for starters.
