Today was my zero day in Gorham. I didn't sleep well at all last night. In fact, the last two or three times I've slept in a "normal" bed I haven't slept well. I must be attuned to sleeping it rough, on the ground out in the forest, where I normally sleep really well.

The "A" Team: 'Doc', 'Strider', 'Ma', 'Gorilla', and 'Princess' are staying here. They are slack packing with car support and this place is being used as their base for about a week. 'Cowboy' is also here and has been slacking with the "A" Team for a few days. 'Cowboy' has just told me that 'Texas T' injured herself and has left the trail. Boy, the attrition rate in the last few weeks has been high.

I had a huge breakfast this morning, and then went to the supermarket to resupply. I got enough food for three days, which will get me to East Andover. I went to Subway for lunch and got a pint of Ben and Jerry's New York Chocolate Fudge Chunk afterwards as a treat.

Well, two more days and I'll be in Maine, the last state. The next 40 miles will be very hard, then the trail will get progressively easier through until Mt. Katahdin. I should be finished in another four weeks. It's a great, yet strange, feeling for the adventure to be coming to a close.

That's it for today, back on the trail tomorrow. Goodnight all.
