Well, today 'Blaze' and I hiked through the famous, Mahoosuc Notch, which is a one mile section of huge boulders to negotiate. It took us exactly two hours. I understand it can take some people us to five hours! We had a lot of fun here and it was an interesting test in gymnastics. When we came out of it we found a cold coke that was left by a trail angel, so we split it between us. We then went up the Mahoosuc Arm, which is a very long, steep rock scramble that took us 1 1/2 hours.

As we wanted to be certain of catching a ride into Andover tomorrow, we decided to hike to the Frye Notch Lean-to. Given the difficult terrain, this was a tough hike for the day. There were some really great views and a very interesting climb over Baldpate, which was a huge monolith with hundreds of stepped ledges to climb over.

Well, tomorrow it's a short hike, then into Andover to stay overnight at the Andover Guest House.

That's it folks. Goodnight all.
