It's 7:00 P.M. and I'm at a camping site on the top of a mountain with wonderful views. I'm here alone except for the flies, which are driving me crazy. I had to put my earplugs in to stop them continually getting in my ears and driving me mad. As soon as I have had dinner, I'll have to get into my tent to get away from them.

I haven't seen any northbound hikers at all today since 'Real', 'Steamboat', and I started out at 6:30 A.M. They soon pulled away from me as I have a blister on my right fourth toe, which is really slowing me down. I'll be glad to get to Waynesboro tomorrow to get my boots sorted out. My goal is to reach Waynesboro by lunchtime, 13 miles away. I plan to have a zero day there on Tuesday, which I think I need.

I'll close off now and say goodnight all so I can get on and cook dinner.
