Everyone in camp woke up late this morning, I guess because most of us did a long hike yesterday. I started out at 8:15 A.M. and reached the shelter at 1:30. I had made my mind up to stop at the next shelter if there was a water supply there, which there was.

I did some climbing early on then came down lower through some farmland for a few miles. I must have crossed about 12 stiles. All, bar one, were the ladder-type and were a little difficult to climb with a full pack. The easiest stile was the ramp-up/ramp-down one. I was really beat up today and found the going tough even though the trail was relatively easy. I think I must have overdone it yesterday.

I'll be in the shelter (Knot Maul on map) tonight as the tent sites aren't level. Staying here with me are: Ismail, Grinder, Movin', Crankin', Birch, Pond Bird, and Tex Pecan. I'm now going to cook an early dinner.

Goodnight all.
