The marriages of Rosina Gibson & Alexander Harley on July 12th 1877 and Minto Gibson & David Harley on February 1st 1878.

Birth registration for Jane Harley b. June 13th 1879 in Dunfermline. Alexander's occupation given as Carter, mother named as Rose Harley.

Birth registration for Rachael Harley b. May 26th 1881 in Dunfermline. Alexander's occupation given as "Bleachfield Carter." (They lived in Bleachfield at the time.) Mother's name given as Rosina Harley.

Birth registration for Rosina Harley b. April 12th 1887 in Dunfermline. Alexander's occupation given as Police Constable. Mother's name given as Rosina Harley.

Birth registration for William Gibson Harley b. February 22nd 1889 in Dunfermline. Alexander's occupation given as Police Constable. Mother's name given as Rosina Harley.

So ... where does this next one fit in? Note that the father is given as "Alexander Harley, Police Constable" and that the mother, Ann Adamson, is the daughter of a Carter......too much to be a coincidence? We may never know for sure.

Another Alexander Harley born to Ann Adamson and Alexander Harley on November 7th 1878, also in Dunfermline.
