Friday I met up with Convention organizer Melanie, her friend Heather and
Dawnettes Carla and Fred at the Las Vegas Hilton; together we are going to
enjoy the Star Trek
Experience. |

What fun! We were abducted by Klingons and transported to the 24th Century, our adventure culminated in a thrilling simulator shuttlecraft ride back to the 21st Century. How happy we were to be zooming over the Strip! Fred had his picture taken in the captains chair on the bridge, he looked just the part, I can see him as the boss in the next Star Trek movie. Then we browsed in the gift shop until we were accosted by another
Klingon who wanted to know 'The Purpose of your Mission', I was splitting
my sides with laughter as Carla tried to explain about Dawn and how
embarrassed we were that none of us actually had Dawn with us to show him.
Fred invited him to the St Tropez the following day............... |

| Before leaving we had lunch in Quarks restaurant. Fred ordered a steak sandwich and was asked 'and how would sir like that Replicated?' LOL! |

| Carla and Fred then went off to the Venetian
leaving us to go looking for a Target
store. As we don't have Target in the UK or Canada, Melanie and
I were thrilled to have the chance to go see if we could get some Our
Generation Mini sets. Woo Hoo we were lucky! I got the Jazzy
Juice Bar plus Trendy Livingroom set and Melanie bought the designer room
box set. |

After a brief relax by the pool of my digs, the Comfort Inn, I set off for the Pharaoh's Feast at the Luxor where I was joining other Dawnettes for a lovely buffet meal. It was soooooooooooooo cool to meet all these new friends, most of whom I had only previously encountered in cyberspace. After lots of food and wonderful Dawn Chat we had our Mini Swap. I was really, really pleased with the outfit I got from Trese, it is fantastic and ever so 'Pippa'. She swears it is the first thing she has made so I am extremely flattered that she let me have it :-) Thanks LOTS Trese! |
