Meeting for the DC GLBT ARTS Consortium for 9/27/07, at Mr Henry's (6th & Penn SE), was called to order approx 6:45 pm.

We immediate began a brief discussion regarding the current advertisement running in the WashBlade for the consortium. We discussed pricing, and how we can creatively pay for the ad, at the current price of $25/wkly. A few suggestions were made, and we finally decided what we would like to present to the group during the October meeting. This will result in future savings for each member org. In the meantime, the consortium will make the payment on the ad to continue to run.
The treasurer's report was given by Jill, who IS NOT the treasurer, but ED for our fiduciary agent. She gave a breakdown of this year's expenses to date. (If you are interested in seeing a print-out of the report, pls let me know.) We also discussed the grants process, which Jill also handles, and the possibility of building a larger financial base for the consortium.
Jill briefly discussed OLD BUSINESS, bringing David & myself up-to-date, on the results of the summer Arts Stage, and the G&S show w/CHAW. In regards to NEW BUSINESS, we discuss the next big upcoming event for the Consortium, which will be the MLK CELEBRATION. It will take place this coming January 22, 2008 (Tuesday after the Monday holiday), at 7 pm. PLEASE START TO PLAN YOUR ORG's PARTICIPATION. The event has grown each year, and is getting better & better.
Please note: the Consortium will start meeting again, on a monthly bases (except Dec). We have chosen the LAST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH as our regular mtg day. Starting with our next meeting, here are dates for the next 6 months. Please mark your calendars:
