We all must begin to understand that there is no separation in revolution & life. I feel BURIED ALIVE is important because it gives me an opportunity to use my talents to effect change. We, the “next generation”, are the ones who pose the biggest threat to this nation’s cruel & unusual punishment because we have the most important voice in the struggle. When one can create awareness, people usually get motivated & make things happen. I wanted to start a real dialogue with BURIED ALIVE, one that acknowledges that there is a real serious problem on national level. Therefore, we must be strategic in how we act & how we move in order to keep ourselves alive, while behind concrete & steel or out in the world under the weight of freedom & trying to remain free. This nation is in a very sad state of affairs & this issue is something we can not just remain silent about. You can have all the laws in the world, but you can not change peoples hearts with them. The fact is, is that we are still dying. We are still being murdered in prison & on the streets. There is a time to be angry & a time to show restraint & be peaceful. We can not be silent about this...we are past the point of passivity. If we continue to be closed mouthed, it is as if we are endorsing it. For me, personally, I am not ready to accept the fact that I may be murdered on a gurney...just as others on death row. And you out there should not be ready to accept the possibility of being attacked or shot dead just because you are minority in this nation. That shit isn’t cool...not cool at all. So to counteract this treatment, we have to go into our communities & deal with one another to make sure we are protected...& protection only comes from us being aware of what is really going on in this world around us, becoming conscious. Information has to come from all available sources to have an impact & this is everyone’s responsibility to respond to this state of emergency .We have to be protectors of one another...we must look out for each other... for HUMANITY.
