Where to get syringes
The most simple possibility: in pharmacies. There you can get syringes up to 10 cc, mostly also 20 cc without problems and cheaper than any waterpistol. Today in Germany you normally get offered these syringes "Braun Injekt" with green piston:

Normally in pharmacies you have to order the sizes of 1 oz (30 cc) and bigger that are very attractive as water squirters. Normally they are available only in big medical supplies shops.
In former times you needed a prescription for buying syringes, because drug abuse should be prevented. Today, in the age of aids, syringes are sold free, at least in Germany.
Sometimes you can also get syringes where they are used for other than medical purpose: for very exact oiling and pasting, for feeding animals, for tanking model aeroplanes, for physical and chemical experiments or for refilling refilling inkjet printers. However, there they are normally more expensive than in pharmacies.
