Darkness
Darkness. It was only darkness she could see and nothing else. And it was cold. Her simple dress was no protection at all. Suddenly she saw a ray of light. It was probably a candle because the light was flickering. She started walking towards the light. She had no idea how she came here she just know that she had to get out. Somewhere in the darkness something was lurking sat her. It gave her goose bumps just thinking about it, so she started walking a bit faster. When she can to the light she saw that it was indeed a simple candle. The weird thing about it was that nothing was holding it up. It was just floating in the air. She reached out to the flame. It was warm and she tried to warm her hands. Just when her hands were getting a bit warmer a sudden wind blew it out. A cold laugh echoed and the sound of it made her feel very little. "Poor poor little Jima". She knew that the voice should sound familiar to her but she just couldn't remember. "Feeling so cold and alone are we?" The voice sounded sincere but Jima could feel it wasn't. Now she was starting to get scared and tried to reply but the words would come out. "Good for you!" the voice screeched. Suddenly the ground disappeared under her feet and she fell down into the darkness never to return…
With a scream, Jima fell out of her bed. Breathing heavily she pushed her hair out of her face. Trembling she sat on the floor trying to regain her calm. Suddenly two hands were placed on her shoulders. She screamed again. "Jima, calm down!" he barked. "Vegeta" she exclaimed. "Yes of course, who else did you expect?" he replied cranky. Vegeta didn't like to be woken up. With his help she climbed back in bed. "That same dream again?" Vegeta asked. Jima nodded silently still trembling. "Are you all right" he asked, suddenly concerned. She shook her head. "No. Absolutely not. I'm afraid to go a sleep and, well, look!" and she held out her hand, which was still trembling. Vegeta took hold of it. "Then stop it". Jima pulled her hand free and buried herself deep underneath the blankets. "I would if I could all right. I just need sometime to calm down". "Then please do". And with these words Vegeta turned around and went to sleep again. For a while Jima tried to calm down but she wasn't able to do it. So instead she slid out of bed, put on a robe and left the bedroom. Almost automatically she went to check on Sako and Korban. They were both sound asleep. She closed the door quietly and walked down the stairs. In the kitchen she prepared some hot milk for herself and sat down on the couch with it. It was almost 3 weeks ago when she first had that dream. In the beginning she didn't pay any attention to it. It's not like she never had the same reoccurring dream before. But the dream became more real, more treating ever time she had it. She came to think that it was some sort of omen but she just couldn't find out what. She sighed and shook her head, as if to ban out the thought. She drank her milk slowly and after that she stayed up for a while, thinking about her dream until she fell asleep.
It wasn't until the next morning that Vegeta noticed that Jima was gone. He muttered something under his breath and left the bedroom. It was still very early and quiet. Sako and Korban were obviously still asleep. He walked downstairs and eventually found Jima asleep on the couch. Her face was peaceful which probably meant she wasn't dreaming at all. Sako and Korban came running down the stairs yelling at each other. "Silence" Vegata told them. "Do NOT wake up your mother". "It too late now". Jima's voice sounded tired. "We're sorry mother" Sako apologized. "It's all right dearest" she said and yawned. She sat up straight. "What time is it?" "It's still early, the sun has just risen". "Good, then I still have enough time". "Time for what?" "I wanna pay Dende a visit today. Maybe he can tell me something useful about my dream. It's not good for my mood, or yours" she said and gave him a quick glance. "Right. Sorry about that". She smiled sarcastically. "I'm sure. Now then you'll have to make sure Sako and Korban eat something and see that they go to school". Vegeta started to object but Jima was already on top of the stairs when he started.
