Darkness Part 2

The morning air was cold. Something which was not abnormal for this time of the year. The fresh air gave Jima a chance to wake up. It would be very rude if she fell asleep during her conversation with Dende. As it turned out Dende was not alone. Piccolo and Kappa had dropped by that same morning for a quick visit. "You don't look so good Jima" was Kappa's first remark as she landed. "Thank" Jima replied sarcastically "That's just what I needed to hear". Kappa chuckled. "Still that weird dream of yours huh?" Jima nodded. "What weird dream?" Piccolo had just approached them. "Well it's not a funny story so I don't really feel like telling it twice. But I was just about to tell Dende about it, so if you tag along you'll find out". Piccolo nodded and the three of them went to see Dende. Jima explained what was happening to her and told them about the dream. After she was done Dende thought about it for a while. "I think it might be an omen," he said. Jima repressed a remark she was about to make. "I thought the same thing but what kind of omen". "You told me that you recognized the voice in your dream". "Yes I do but I don't know who's it is really". "Well when you find out, you will solve the puzzle. It's not unusual for you to have premonitions in the shape of a dream". "I know but it just doesn't feel like one this time. It's much more terrifying". She shuddered for a moment. "Well darkness usually means evil. Normally you premonitions are what happen in your life, or the life of others. This might me more serious. It might concern the fate of the world". "I could… I mean is that possible, with me I mean". "You've got the strongest mind power in the universe and you've been training it a lot lately. I think you could have premonitions of that kind. I also believe that how stronger the dream becomes how closer the day of it draws nearer". 'That sounds awful". "You have to find out what your dream means as soon as possible". "How can I do that? The dream is the same. I can't change it ". "Yes you can. All you have to do is keep that in mind". "Aww Jima, come on" Kappa said, as she saw her face turn slightly white "I'll help you". Jima smiled. "Thanks Kappa, you're the best". "I know," she said. "One thing you are not is modest" Piccolo told her bluntly. Kappa flushed immediately. Jima laughed. "Thanks Dende, I'll do my best". "I know you will Jima. Good luck and please keep me informed".

After that Jima didn't go straight home. She located a peaceful spot were she tried to figure out her dream but she couldn't find the answers she was looking for. The sun was setting when she landed back at her home. Sako and Korban were watching TV and, as normal, Vegeta was no where to be found. "Mum!" Sako and Korban jumped up as they saw her. "Hello my darlings. How are you doing?" "Fine but a little hungry". "Well what a coincidence so am I. What would you like for dinner?" "Pancakes" Sako and Korban screamed at the same time. "What a surprise" she laughed. An hour later they had eaten and after that Sako and Korban went to bed. Jima didn't, partly because she was afraid to go to sleep and partly because she probably couldn't anyway because she was too restless. Eventually sleep took the better of her and she feel asleep on the couch again. She didn't hear Vegeta come home or heard him go up the stairs.

Once again there was darkness. But there was a difference this time. She wasn't afraid this time but more curious about it. In the distance she saw the candle again. She walked towards it and tried to warm her hands by it. At the moment the wind blew she held her hands protectively over the candle. And the little flame kept burning. "Poor poor Jima" the voice said once more, but it didn't sound too confident this time. "Not really". Jima was surprised about herself. Until now she was never able to do that. "What is that supposed to mean"? "I mean I'm not helpless". "Not yet your not". Suddenly an enormous headache swelled up. It cleared her minds of all thought, she could only think of the pain it was causing her. She slid down to the ground and grabbed her head between her hands trying to soften the pain. "What do you think now"? "I think that you're a loser. Come out of that darkness you're hiding in and show your face". Her headache stopped. "Foolish woman. You want to face me?" Suddenly Jima didn't feel so sure of herself anymore. From somewhere in the darkness she could feel a huge power. But before she could see whatever it was, the ground once again crumbled beneath her feet and she plunged in to the darkness. Surprisingly this time it wasn't all darkness. In the deep she could see a red light. Curious Jima let herself fall down through what now seemed like a tunnel to her. Softly she landed on the ground and looked around. It was a city. Or at least it once was. There was nothing left but a few ruins. Slowly she walked into the city ruins. It was as if she knew the place and it was as a cold hand around her heart as she recognized on of the house ruins. It was her house. It was completely destroyed. She neither saw nor sensed any life. "You still want to challenge me Jima?" Jima looked up to see were it was coming from. Just behind her a man was standing. He was of average height and slim. He was wearing a simple black armor. It looked like it was very comfortable but supportive as well. A dark red belt was hanging around his waist. A sign was drawn upon it. It was black sword, which was crossed with a dark, scary looking vein. His hair was dark. With a sudden shock she realized who he was. "Well Jima". She wasn't able to speak. The man laughed and he approached her. Jima back off but she tripped over a brick and fell on the ground. Darkness was all around her once again.
