Darkness Part 3
Her scream was this time followed by uncontrollable crying. She was still lying on the couch. She didn't exactly know how long she cried but when she looked up Vegeta was holding her. "Vegeta!" she exclaimed. "Are you all right?" She shook her head. "What are you doing down here?" she asked, her voice a bit shaky. "I had something to make up to you". She smiled. "Was it that same dream again?" "No it was very different this time. I actually changed my dream by just knowing I could". "So you know who's behind this dream". Jima nodded. "Well" Vegeta went on after a long silence. Suddenly Jima started crying again. Surprised Vegeta tried to comfort her. And suddenly he knew who it had to be. "It was Radditz wasn't it?" Jima nodded, still crying and unable to speak. Vegeta know that only he could scare her so much and suddenly he felt an abnormal rage. "And what now?" "I don't know yet". She broke free form his grip and stood up. "I need to go. I need to see a few people". "Do you want me to come with you?" "I'd love you to but, no. I need to do this on my own. I need to face this fear once and for all". Suddenly Vegeta felt enormously proud of his wife. He kissed her gently. "This time really do make sure Sako and Korban get something to eat" she told him firmly. "I will". She smiled and kissed him back. "I love you," she said and with that she turned around and left the house.
The first person Jima visited was Kappa. Piccolo wasn't around and that didn't bother her at all. She considered him a good friend but this was just a little to personal. Kappa wasn't all that surprised to see her. "I thought you'd come up with an answer soon" she said when Jima tapped her shoulder. Jima laughed. "How did you know it was me"? "I could tell by your slightly paranoid footstep". Kappa stood up. "So what are we gonna do now?" "Well I have to find out how to beat these guys". "So you..?" "Yes I did". "And was it…?". "Yes it was". "So what are we waiting for"? "Well I don't know what to do next". "What do you mean"? "Well I've been thinking about what Dende told me and I think I can actually defeat them in my dreams. That would really make it sort of easier. I mean at least I won't have to worry about the fate of the earth". Kappa thought about that for a moment". "I guess so. But how do you do that". "Simple I guess. First I need to have the dream and after that I just have to set up my mind blocks to make sure the dream doesn't fade". Kappa's eyes grew big. "But if you fail you would destroy your own brain". "I know, but that's a risk I'm willing to take". "But". "No buts, please! I've been thinking about this ever since the possibility arised. I have two children. I wont let them under go any unnecessary risks". "Yeah but would they do without YOU!". "They'd still have their father and they are still young. In time they will get over it". "Wow, you really gave this some thought, didn't you"? "Yes I have". "So then why did you come to me?". "Well I need someone to inform Dende about this. If I did it myself he would just call me crazy." "He'd be right" Kappa interrupted her. "And lock me up". Jima didn't pay any attention to that last remark. "I need you to fill him in for me, but I need you to do it around midnight. I'll probably be asleep by then". "You gonna tell Vegeta?". "No because he would try and stop me to". "But you are going to this at your home". "Yes, I'll fell more comfortable their, maybe it will ease my battle I don't know. Anyway, if I know Dende, he'll rush down to earth to stop me. Either him or you can inform Vegeta". Kappa sighed. "I guess I really can't talk you out of this one". Jima smiled and embraced her. 'You really are the best friend I ever had and I love you, but no". "All right, just don't get all soppy on me ok!?" "Well I'd better be going then. I need some time to meditate, you know find peace and strength. See ya". Jima took off again. Kappa looked as she flew off. "What do we do, without you Jima? What do we do?"
