Kuittho Chess Challenge

The College University Technology Tun Hussein Onn will organise the Kuittho Chess Challenge at their campus in Batu Pahat, Johore, on March 23 and 24. This tournament is open to undergraduates of local universities and colleges, schoolchildren and other Malaysians.

Although the tournament is run as an individual event, the universities, colleges, schools and other organisations are allowed to register as teams. However, the team members will play as individuals in the tournament and their collective results will be used to compute their team standings.

The main cash prizes for the team winners are RM1000 for first, RM750 for second, and RM500 for third. The first three individual winners will receive RM700, RM500 and RM300 respectively.

Entry fee is RM40 per person. Primary schoolchildren are charged RM20.
