Ministry of Hospitality

Jesus, as a reflection of God’s love, welcomed all who came unto him. We then seek to provide a welcoming community offering hospitality to all.

Sunday fellowship after worship takes the form of informal gathering over coffee or tea and a snack in the parish hall. Volunteer teams provide for this to happen. Volunteers are coordinated by Maureen Campbell.

A team of Greeters serves to welcome individuals coming into the worship space on Sunday mornings and will gladly team newcomers up with people in the parish to help make a first time visit comfortable. Volunteers are coordinated by Jan Gannon.

In addition throughout the year, Christ Church hosts a number of seasonal Pot Luck suppers and will work to provide hospitality for pastoral occasions such as funerals.

Christ Church is also committed to the long term provision of accessibility to our building and services. A new side door and ramp was installed in 1998, which renders the worship space physically accessible. Signing for the hearing impaired is made available on major occasions and can be arranged by request. Large print editions of the order of services are available as well on arrival in the worship space.
