TV Alert - Jon & Richie to Present at CMA AWARDS on Monday November 6 Jon and Richie will be presenter at the CMA Awards airing live Monday, Nov. 6 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network from the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville. Bon Jovi's country version of Who Says You Can't Go Home is also nominated for a "Musical Event of the Year" award. ![]() Jon has partnered with Kenneth Cole New York to sell a limited-edition outerwear collection that will be made available at Kenneth Cole New York retail stores and Saks Fifth Avenue stores this November. Proceeds of the exclusive offering will benefit HELP USA, a national not-for-profit organization with a mission to empower the homeless and others in need to become and remain self-reliant. Jon To Be Face of Kenneth Cole Fragrance in Print and TV Ads Jon is also pairing with Kenneth Cole to appear in a campaign to introduce their new fragrance, R.S.V.P. The ad campaign will appears in January 2007. A portion of the proceeds from sale of the fragrance will be donated to the Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation. Jon named as Habitat For Humanity "Founding Ambassor" Jon has been named as the first Founding Ambassador of the Habitat for Humanity Ambassador program as part of the international-nonprofit organization's new advocacy outreach initiative. The newly created Habitat for Humanity Ambassadors Program is an advocacy initiative that is a joint effort between Habitat for Humanity International and the entertainment-industry-support organization, Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity. Its goal is to engage celebrities and entertainment industry leaders that can bring heightened awareness to the worldwide-housing crisis and to Habitat's effort in providing safe, decent and affordable shelter. Founding Habitat for Humanity Ambassadors will be involved in the Jimmy Carter Work Project 2007 in Los Angeles by participating in building and awareness-raising activities. Habitat's Jimmy Carter Work Project 2007 will kick off with a gala luncheon in March in Los Angeles honoring President Carter for his lifelong Humanitarian efforts. Jon and Former US President Bill Clinton in Philadelphia ![]() Bon Jovi To Be Inducted into the UK Music Hall Of Fame on November 14, 2006 On November 14, Bon Jovi will be inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame which began in 2004. This year's other inductees are Brian Wilson, Dusty Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart and James Brown. Jon & Richie Action Figures Coming Soon! It was announced on October 3, that in July 2007 McFarlane Toys will add Jon and Richie to their expanding collection of music action figures. ![]() A new book titled Love Letters To The South, paying tribute to those affected by Hurricane Katrina, includes a photo of Jon along with other celebrities. Jon's photo was taken by photographer Paul Alexander in NYC on May 1st. The celebrity photos are accompanied by a handwritten note. Portions of the proceeds from book sales will go to the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. (check the CNN website or your local listings for times in your area) TV ALERT: Fashion Rocks Concert - September 8, 2006 - 9-11 PM ET on CBS Bon Jovi will perform at the Fashion Rocks concert in New York City. The concert will be taped on September 7 at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. TV airdate is Friday September 8, 2006 9-11 ET on CBS. (check local listings for time in your area) Tidbits from WMMR radio interview with Jon On July 14, Jon did a radio interview with Pierre Robert on WMMR radio in Philadelphia. During the interview Jon mentioned upcoming projects with included a duets album that they would be working on in Nashville. Also mentioned was a Greatest Hits Volume 2 to be released next fall, followed by a new studio album. He also said that he would be working on a movie with Queen Latifah in January 2007. New Movie For Jon (unconfirmed) As mentioned above, during an interview on WMMR radio Jon mentioned filming a movie with Queen Latifah in January 2007. While surfing the net, I found another interview which named the movie, Public Transportation, as well as stated that the filming locations would be New York City and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Bon Jovi's country version of "Who Says You Can't Go Home" featuring Jennifer Nettles on vocals has reached the #1 spot on Billboard's Country Singles Chart. This is the first time a rock band has had a #1 song on the Country Charts. Congratulations to Bon Jovi and Jennifer! April 16, 2006 Who Says You Can't Go Home Wins CMT Award On April 10, Bon Jovi & Jennifer Nettles won the 2006 CMT Collaborative Video of the Year Award for Who Says You Can't Go Home. Since Bon Jovi were on tour in Japan, Jennifer accepted on behalf of everyone. April 8, 2006 3rd Leg of Have A Nice Day Tour starts in Japan ![]() Wembley Stadium shows moved to Milton Keynes After weeks of speculation that the new Wembley Stadium being built in London, England would not be completed in time for the Bon Jovi concerts in June, it was officially announced on March 30 that the shows would be moved to The Bowl at Milton Keynes. Though he'll need a sling, fans were assured that no shows would be cancelled. Jon Meets Mickey Mouse ![]() March 18, 2006 Bon Jovi Wrap Up 2nd Leg of Have A Nice Day Tour Bon Jovi wrapped up the 2nd leg of the Have A Nice Day tour on March 11 in Las Vegas. At 2 hours and 50 minutes, this was the longest concert of the tour thus far. Fans at the show were treated to rarities such as a cover version of the Jerry Lee Lewis classic "Great Balls Of Fire", and an acoustic version of "Never Say Goodbye". The band are now on hiatus for a month before heading to Japan in April for the start of the 3rd leg of the tour. TV Alert: Jon profile on ABC's 20/20 on March 31 The ABC TV News Magazine show 20/20 will be doing a profile on Jon Bon Jovi on Friday March 31 as part of their program on individuals and where they came from and how they got there. The profile will include footage from Jon's visit to his old high school, Sayreville War Memorial High School. 20/20 airs at 10:00 PM ET, however, check local listings for times in your area. Who Says You Can't Go Home A Finalist for CMT Video Award Bon Jovi's country version of Who Says You Can't Go Home, featuring Jennifer Nettles, has been announced as one of the finalists for CMT's Collaborative Video of the Year. The awards will be handed out live on the televised show on Monday April 10 at 8:00 PM ET on CMT. Check local listings for times in your area. The winner is determined by fan votes. Fans vote online to shorten the list of nominees to 4 in each category. The final nominees will be announced on March 15. The CMT video awards show will air on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT. The pre-race show will air live on NBC TV in the USA beginning at 1:30 PM ET. Jon has supposedly since apologized, saying "Let me apologise because I don't know the woman." In hearing about Jon's apology, Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg responded, "Now that is a gentleman - unlike Elton John, whose favourite hobby is trashing Madonna." February 5, 2006 Heather Locklear Files For Divorce From Richie Back in December rumours surfaced in the tabloid media that there was trouble in Richie and Heather's marriage. At the time Richie said "the truth is that after 11 years together, we are still happily married. Boring but true." Unfortunately, there must have been some truth to the rumours, because on February 2, Heather filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences". She has asked for physical custody of their 8 year old daughter, Ava Elizabeth, with visitation rights for Richie. I join with other Bon Jovi fans from around the world in wishing Richie well during this certain to be difficult time in his personal life. Jon's National Lampoon Movie Now Called "Pucked" Finally To Be Released On Friday, February 10, the movie Jon made in North Carolina in 2004, originally known as "The Trouble With Frank", then known as "Pre-Approved", and now known as "Pucked" will finally hit the movie screens. The release, however, will be extremely limited with initial screenings only in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Greensboro and Milwaukee. It is not known if it will be released in other cities, however, the DVD release should be available approximately 90 days later. January 21, 2006 Band Safe After Plane Skids Off Runway In Hamilton, Canada Early this morning Bon Jovi arrived in Canada for the first of their 4 concerts in Toronto. Severe weather conditions at the time of their 1:30 a.m. arrival at the Hamilton International Airport was blamed for causing their private plane to skid off the runway during landing. There were no reports of injury to any of the 14 passengers, plus flight crew, on board the Boeing 707 and the concerts will proceed as scheduled. January 14, 2006 Have A Nice Day Tour Resumes Tonight After taking a break for the holidays, Bon Jovi resumes the Have A Nice Day Tour tonight in Oklahoma City. As was the case during the first leg of the North American tour, the opening acts will again be mostly local bands who win competitions in their hometowns. Nickelback To Open For Bon Jovi In Europe Nickelback has been announced as the opening act for Bon Jovi's concerts in Europe this summer. With those 2 great bands together, the European fans are sure to have rockin' shows! Jon To Guest Star On The West Wing It has been announced that Jon will be appearing as himself in an upcoming episode of the NBC tv drama The West Wing. He will be supporting the fictional character, Democratic candidate, Matt Santo's campaign. The episode called "Welcome To Wherever You Are" will also feature Jon perfoming a part of the song. Currently the episode is scheduled to air on Sunday March 26 at 8 PM ET on NBC. Check local listings for time and stations in your area. Bon Jovi's song "Wildflower" To Appear On Target Store's Compilation Love Songs CD Target stores in the USA will be releasing a special complilation CD around Valentine's Day consisting of love songs.
