The Guards Of Groom Lake
The security force patrolling the borderlands of the above top secret GROOM DRY LAKE FACILITY has become known to the general public as the "Cammo-Dudes"
This is due to the multicolor desert camouflage uniforms that they wear. Keeping a close eye on all visitors to the area, they patrol the perimeter of the base in white Jeep Cherokees. They are usually seen in pairs, and sit on the peaks of nearby hills while they follow anyone spotted near the border.
While it is most likely that The Cammo-Dudes are not military personnel, rumors declare that many of them are former Navy Seals or Delta Force personnel. No one knows for sure who the Cammo-Dudes work for, although it is believed that they are employed by "Wackenhut Security Incorporated" - a contractor providing the security of the entire Nevada Test Site. However, it is also possible that they are under military employment of EG&G SPECIAL PROJECTS , another contracting service, already providing 737 aircraft flights from McCarran Air Force Base to Groom Lake.
During an ongoing lawsuit against the government and the GROOM LAKE FACILITY, a document was brought into court. A facsimile of the document submitted to the AREA 51 RESEARCH CENTER may be the Cammo-Dude security manual. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff's lawyer, Jonathan Turley, said that the Air Force was seeking to classify this previously unclassified document, and he feared that government officials were going to soon seize his files relating to the case as a result. In this case, it appears to be the first time that the government has sought to increase the security classification of an already-public document to prevent its introduction in a lawsuit against the government. The Cammo-Dude security force, although they officially "do not exist," have an affiliation with the local Lincoln Country Sheriff's Department. If a trespasser on the site is captured, the Dudes will handcuff and detail the person until the Sheriff is called in from nearby Alamo, Nevada. The Sheriff will then talk to the suspect about not crossing the border and other laws of the area pertaining to the "Nellis Bombing and Gunnery Range" - the official purpose and title of the GROOM LAKE FACILITY . It is rare, however, to be approached by the Cammo-Dudes themselves unless you have crossed the border into the base zone. After all, they do not exist.
