Many years ago a man called Douglas Adams (now sadly deceased) wrote a science fiction radio comedy called the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. The Guide itself was an electronic book with the words "Don't Panic" on the cover. It was a guide to just about everything you could think of, and was written by researchers who roamed the galaxy and beamed their entries back.

Then the world wide web appeared and a few people (Mr Adams among them) decided the time was ripe to do the Earth Edition of the Hitchhikers guide. Thus was born H2G2, now hosted by BBC. Here are two links, one to the main page, and one to my home page.

Ok, what am I talking about? Neopets, that's what. A virtual pet place that seems too cute for words but is horribly addictive! Why am I telling you? In the hopes you'll become addicted too and I can live with myself again, knowing I'm not the only one!

Some time ago, a friend introduced me to epinions.com. It's a site where anyone can review a product. They've set it up quite well as you can rate how helpful a review was, and if you join you can actually list those you trust, to hopefully help others make better buying decisions. If you are thinking of buying something, have a look here, read the reviews and see if they help you.
