Seward to Fairbanks

Our cruise ended in the beautiful town of Seward. From here we rode a coach up the Seward Highway to Anchorage. This is one of the most scenic drives in the country. The Kenai Peninsula is spectacular. On the way we stopped in the Portage Valley, where icebergs float in Portage Lake right by the roadside. From Anchorage we flew north to Fairbanks, crossing above the Alaska Range with clear views of Denali and its surrounding peaks. We took a tour of Fairbanks and visited the University and the Alaska Pipeline.
