Drill Team
Canine
Drill Team is a group activity with your dog that goes beyond the
regimented rules of obedience...there are absolutely no rules at
all. It can be whatever you want: straight marching, dancing, done
with props, done with or without music - sky's the limit.
Work?
Yes. And lots of it. But the exhilarating sensation of being a
part of two teams; you and your dog, and the team as a whole, must
be experienced to be understood.
It
is very impressive to watch several owners and dogs synchronized
in motion to music. To the uninitiated, it looks like magic. To
those participating and who know the work and fun that went into
it, it is a miracle.
The
members of our Drill Team enjoy the fun and challenge of
choreographing, perfecting, and finally performing a new drill
every year for the enjoyment of spectators at the Lower Mainland
Dog Fancier's show.
We also perform by invitation at community events, parades, etc. all over the
Lower Mainland.

The
Pacesetters amaze the crowd at the Annual Drill Team Competition
at the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers Show at the Tradex in
Abbostford.
The
2002 team comprised a record 16 members performing an intricate
drill to the music of Janet Jackson's 'Together Again'.
