The construction of my cyberhome has coincided with the Marketing on the Internet course I took at Old Dominion University during the Spring 2001 semester. I chose the term "cyberhome" because it where I reside on the Internet. As with "sticks and bricks" starter homes, this cyberhome is starting out small without a lot of enhancements or upgraded features. However, like regular real estate, as time progresses this place will become larger and more impressive.

I elected to keep my cyberhome simple, without a lot of graphics, since it has been initially developed as part of a class assignment, which was to target potential employers to learn more about me. I did not want business people to be sidetracked by lots of pictures; they will come in due time. Hopefully there is a significant amount of information that will prove beneficial to recruiters that visit my cyberhome.

White and dark blue were chosen as the predominant colors to provide a professional, clean, and relaxing mood to the site. Green and tan were used with dark blue to present a color scheme that is consistent with the hues of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding wetlands.

The use of the Belted Kingfisher and the URL DALBIS.COM was intended to initiate the formation of brand awareness of me. Obviously the use of DALBIS in the URL makes good sense for someone with the name David Albis. The Belted Kingfisher was chosen due to the similarities I have with it. The bird lives around the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, which is the location of my real residence. Like the Belted Kingfisher, I am short and stocky with stumpy legs, but both of us are agile and quick. And we both like to fish.

My cyberhome will soon see some additions. Come back to visit to view the changes I will be making including a Family Room, a new foyer with a Guestbook to sign, additional rooms for school and interest.
