Where's the Mole?
1. He's on a thin ledge on the west side of the level, and fairly easy to find. He'll activate the sprint shoes.
Easy Jigsaw Pieces
See the map for a more precise look at the Jigsaw pieces' locations.
- Help the Camel - Look for a magic carpet ride on the East End of the level. This carpet leads to a trapped camel. Stomp on it to make it run away.
- Feed the Tree - This piece can only be found if the camel's at the tree. Remember the tree at the start of the level? Stomp on the camel in front of it. A puzzle piece should appear atop the tree. While it may be possible to jump off a nearby tree to get it, I got this piece by flying into it.
- Match the Tiles - Climb to the top of the eastern pyramid and stomp on the switch. Run inside and stomp on the tiles to make matching pairs. There'll be a mummy chasing Banjo. Use a gold feather to kill the mummy outright, or stomp on tiles just as the mummy walks on them. The latter move stuns the mummy temporarily.
- Make a Pyramid - Believe me, this piece is very easy to get as long as the deep canyon in the middle of the level is filled with water first! Look for a platform in the water in front of a dog-faced relief. Feed the dog with eggs. Repeat the process with two more faces that should appear. Enter the pyramid and beat the maze. Look on the map above for the best path. Rather than avoid the mummy inside, use a gold feather to kill it. Look inside a sarcophagus after completing the maze.
- Run and Grab - In the northwest corner of the level is a stone hand that clutches the elusive piece. However, the hand moves away every time Banjo tries to grab it. What a tease! Don't even break a sweat. Head to the northeast corner to find the sprint shoes. Use that super speed to grab the piece out of the mummy hand.
- Fly Through Rings - Fly through the gold ring held up by the dog, just north of the sphinx. A series of rings will pop up. Fly through all of them for the puzzle piece.
Difficult Jigsaw Pieces
See the map for a more precise look at the Jigsaw pieces' locations.
- Shoot the Sphinx - First, jump to the top of the sphinx and stand on the nose. Jump and float to one of the platforms left or right of the nose. Shoot eggs at the nose. The door below should open up. Enter the sphinx. Jump on a carpet and shoot at the dog's mouth on the wall. The carpet will rise. Now the mad fun begins. Quickly jump and float to the next carpet ahead and shoot the dog face that's there. Don't waste time or the carpet will drop. Repeat this until the puzzle piece, floating on a carpet itself, is found at the end.
- Up the Pyramid - It can be done in one try. Just stay calm! Grab the sprint shoes in the upper northeast corner of the level. Run a little south to find a switch in front of a stair-step pyramid. Hit the switch and run up the pyramid. Don't hit any walls or fall along the way, and you'll make it to the top with a second to spare. Jump into the hole and swim. Avoid the mummies and grab the puzzle piece below. This should drain the room of water, filling the canyon outside.
- Hit the Target - The trouble with this piece is that it requires a quick landing and dash to the pyramid entrance. Plus, make sure Banjo has eggs handy. While flying, aim at the red target above the western pyramid. Dash at it (press B while flying). If hit accurately, the door below the pyramid will open. It's possible to land on the small ledge in front of the door, but that wastes time. It's almost better to immediately pull off a stomp (press and hold Z, then press A) that crashes Banjo for some damage. Upon recovering, immediately switch to the big feet (hold Z, then press left-C) and run like mad to the open entrance. It can be done! Inside, feed the brown basket with eggs. A snake will appear. Climb it.
- Jinjos - With the exception of the yellow Jinjo, all of them are hidden inside pyramids. The green one is actually found on the outside, within a tiny alcove.
The 5 Jinjo's
There are 5 Jinjo's to rescue in each level. If you collect all of them you'll be rewarded with a Jigsaw piece and later on ...
Blue Jinjo - This one can be easily reached when you flood the canyon in the middle of the level. It's at the bottom.
Green Jinjo - In a tiny alcove behind the tile puzzle pyramid/Sun pyramid.
Pink Jinjo - In a pot at the end of King Sandybutt's maze.
Orange Jinjo - On a magic carpet ride inside Jinxy.
Yellow Jinjo - On a small island right at the entrance.
Honeycomb Pieces
First - Behind the east pyramid is a switch. Stomp on it to make the honeycomb appear above a cactus. Fly through the cactus to grab it.
Second - This can be found only after the camel feeds the tree with water. Look for a magic carpet ride just north of the dog sphinx. Take it to a small area where the camel's hiding. Stomp on the camel again.

Gruntilda Stomp Switch
It's in the pyramid maze. Don't even bother trying to hit it until after the puzzle piece for the maze is found. Rather than leave out the pyramid's one-way back door, return to the maze exit and run to the switch before time expires.
