How can you travel massive distances through space without the use of fancy nucleur engines or some kind warp drive. Simple, black holes. |
When you think of a black hole, you think of a giant void of destruction. Well I have some theories on how people may travel using Black holes. |
BLACK HOLE NETWORK |
Now, before we start talking about using black holes to travel, we need to know vaguely how they work. |
THE GUTS OF A BLACK HOLE |
When a star dies, one of two things can happen. It will either swell up and fizzle out as a red giant, which is the fate of our sun. The other fate is fot the star to burn out all its fuel (mainly hydrogen, the most basic element) and collapse violently. When this happens all the gravitational force of the star becomes focused into a sphere. This is a black hole. A black hole gets its name from its behavior. Due to the shere gravitational force, a black hole can suck in anything, including light and even time itself. Because no light escapes the black hole is, black! The hole part of its name comes from what happens when something that is sucked in. When an object is drawn into a black hole its stretched out into an object infinitely long and infinitely thin. The object then ceases to exist, as if the object had fallen into a hole. At the black hole there is what is called a singularity. Its a point of infinite gravitational force, infinite smallness and infinite density. Anything that is sucked into the singularity becomes a point of infinite gravitational force, infinite smallness and infinite density. |
BLACK HOLE THEORIES |
THE THEORY |
Now heres my theory. At the centre of a black hole is a singularity. Singularity means single or one. So my theory is that all black holes that exist or ever will exist all share a single singularity. This singularity probably exists in another dimension. Anything that enters a black hole anywhere in the universe is destroyed in that one point. So if you could enter a black hole without being destroyed, using some kind of energy field, then pass the singularity without being destroyed, you could travel out of one of the conduits that conects black holes to the singularity and exit that black hole somewhere in the universe. But this would require some way of aviod the gravitational pull of the black hole. I have a theory on this. |

All objects create a 'warp' in space. The greater the gravitational force, the greater the 'warp'. Our Sun (1) creates a relatively small warp, were as a smaller, but more dense neutron star (2) creates a larger warp. A black hole (3) is os dense that it's warp actualy creates a hole in space. That's where it gets its name. |
