You figure that it'd be interesting to meet Flashtail. You sit down and slide along his winding trail, occasionally bumping off the sides of the trail, but not hurting yourself at all. You even try a few tricks while you slip and slide, though none of them are too fantastic.
Soon, you come to a round icy lake. You slide out to the edge of it, and look around for any sign of Flashtail. Suddenly, you scream as something jumps on top of you. Whirling around, you see a juvenile dragon, smiling devilishly and hanging off your back.
Boo! the adolescent giggles, jumping onto the ice beside you. It lands deftly on its feet, spreading out its wings so that it doesn't slide.
"Don't scare me like that!" you gasp, clutching your chest. "You could give someone a heart attack!"
The dragon's eyes widen innocently. I didn't mean to scare you, he says, forcing back giggles. I thought you'd find it funny! Unable to hide its amusement any longer, the white creature bursts into laughter, thumping its plumed tail on the ice.
Scowling, you decide to ask the babe something so that it'll stop laughing at you. "Are you Flashtail?" you ask, figuring it's worth knowing.
That's me! the dragon says. Are you...a tourist? Ooh, cool! Can I tell you all about me?
You are startled by Flashtail's enthusiasm, but you agree.
YAY! Flashtail says, flapping his little wings. Okayokayokay, Amaryllis was at Silentwings Adoptions, and she saw me, and she said that I was the cutest, most mischevious dragon in all of the clutches, and that she said I'd be entertaining for the tourists! So she brought me here, and I've lived happily ever after.
Entertaining, my foot! you think, but you say, "you certainly are mischevious."
Thanks! Flashtail says happily. This is a cool realm -- go explore and have fun! With that, Flashtail spazzes away, flapping his wings to carry him a few inches above the ice like a silvery-white ribbon.
Still slightly skittish, you slide back to the signpost, keeping a wary eye on the retreating form of Flashtail.
