You look over nervously at the portal that reads 'Ice Realm.' Wringing your hands, you step up to the swirling, pulsating mass, and open the notebook to read a bit before you enter.
It may not be the most comfortable realm in the world, but the Ice Realm is one of the least dangerous. You will be surrounded by numbing cold, but the fire-proof suits will take care of that again. Remember those from the Fire Realm? Well, you can turn on an internal heating system, too.
Despite the harsh conditions, it is easily one of the most breathtaking realms when you first see it. It is a massive system of ice glaciers and paths, winding through miles and miles of freezing cold pools and oceans. Of course, few of these bodies of water are inhabited, so you don't travel the entire expanse of trails. Yet, anyway.
As aforementioned, the population of the Ice Realm is relatively low. This is because few creatures can stand the extreme cold enough to actually live in it. If they can, it is because their bodies were build to stand the temperatures. This means most of the creatures here are either covered in fur or scales, or they are very bulky and insulated.
Since they live here because of their adaptations, you will find varying attitudes in the Ice Realm. Some are very friendly and will tolerate large amounts of visitors, while others will simply send you on your way with a snotty remark.
You figure that it will be interesting, and you slip on the grey suit, and leap tensley into the portal.
After being tossed around for a few minutes, you are spit out onto something hard. To your surprise, you slide for a few yards before you stop yourself with your hands. You look up.
You are surrounded by ice. A huge glacier looms in front of you -- you stopped yourself just in time. You're sitting on a huge frozen pool of ice, but you don't feel at all cold. In fact, you feel pleasently warm.
Spinning around on your butt, you see the signpost. It's encased in ice, with icicles hanging down from every arrow. You stand up, fall down, and manage to stand up and slide over to the sign on your feet. You're then faced with selecting a creature to visit.
