AMAZING

"All that is gold does not glitter;
not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither;
deep roots are not reached by the frost."
~ J.R.R. Tolkien

There are few things in life more satisfying than a nice, hot cup of cocoa by the hearth, more invigorating than galloping through the ocean surf on a tall horse, more electrifying than leaping from a plane at 13500 ft to hover for a few timeless moments between the earth and sky... and the more I get, the more I crave.

So. You wanna know the real me? How I got to be so crazy, so talented, so modest, so... unique? I could tell ya bit, I suppose. Here's a profile first, or you can just jump down to the bio. Happy reading.

Short Bio

Well, it all started in Los Angeles, Hollywood division, where I was born. I lived there with my parents for a year and a half, but they hated it, and then they found jobs here in CS. I went to St. Michael's Academy for the loooongest time, and the chapel really didn't agree with me. But we had some brilliant May Day festivals, dances from British Isles, plays (I played Puck!!!), and even the curious cuisine from far-away lands bit. Then I made a switch to public school, met some new faces, made some friends, and found myself at A&M Consolidated for 4 long, TIGER-filled years of spirit, tradition, theatrical triumphs, and... yeah, education.
My first two years of college were spent finding out I do not after all wish to be a veteranarian, as I had thought (science and medicine run in the family, so they ran with me for a while too). I have always been a designer with a love and knack for creating things, and I am miserable in a laboratory. So, while taking a summer class to get ahead, I also took beginning design for fun. It clicked. WOW!! This is what I want to do! I left my first college and came to TAMU. I still love animals, wonderful creatures, but my way of helping them shall be different.
Anyhoo, that's why I am where I am now, at TAMU, studying to be a Landscape Architect, to create picturesqe, natural-looking areas for houses, businesses, zoos, wildlife sanctuaries, who knows. I am infuenced by the principles Feng Shui, the Chinese art of "Wind and Water" and by Japanese garden design. I've just started my 4th year in the program.

For a while I considered minoring in Linguistics, because of my knack for and love of languages. So far, I've studied several in school and several more on my own, have a great ear, and grammar is (usually) no problem. Irish, though, is the most difficult I have undertaken, as it sounds nothing like it's spelled, and there are only a few folk in the country (all remote from me), who are also trying to learn it, so I can't practice with anyone. Still, it's fun! :^}

I identify a lot with Data on Star Trek. He's always exploring different facets of human nature. He strives to be better than he is. That's my whole philosopy on life, to constantly challenge myself, and leave the world a better place because I was in it. That's success to me. That's living.

Poem Interlude
Beauty of a Woman

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman Is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows.
The beauty of a woman
With passing years -- only grows.

OK, I guess you really want to know.
Well, I've got quite a list. What can I say?
I know exactly what I want (and what I don't want).

Must haves:

-he must have a great sense of humor, prefferably witty and a bit sarcastic
-he must be creative and romantic
-he must be a musician -- after all, music is the language of the soul :)
-he must like to challenge himself and grow, try new things, and challenge me
-enjoy outdoor recreation and nature
-able to adapt to life's surprises; sure some things p** you off, but you shouldn't let them get to you, it only brings you down. -love animals
-enjoy dancing
-being tall an physically fit is a huge plus -- I'm short, and to me maintaining a strong and healthy appearance is important
-pretty eyes and a full head of hair
-outgoing and friendly -calm and understanding
-can cook and clean at least relatively well
-someone who'll travel beside me and be my "other half"
-enjoys Renaissance and Medieval arts -- I'm a R&M nut and want to share it with someone ^_^
-comfortable talking about his innermost feelings with me.
-comfortable giving and receiving affection
-is educated (college level or higher)
-he must accept me spiritually, even if he doesn't share my persuasion.
-he's too humble to think he's perfect.

I'm not interested in someone who:

-is not motivated to challenge himself and learn and grow
-is lazy, spending excessive time sleeping or playing video games
-will relgiously cut me down -- I am NOT going to Hell because I don't believe in it
-is arrogant, rude, obnoxious, vulgar, or self-righteous
-won't admit when he is wrong
