Some of my thoughts on these sites, well...shark is a really cool dude. This site is has options of pictures and so on. It has links to other shark sites. The Jeff Speakman one is cool because it has info on The Perfect Weapon. The Oleg site is neat in design, and offers choices for stuff on the big Russian dude. The guy's got a lot of heart, and determination. The Raven site is nice because it's more about the show, which I thought was cool. I like Jeff and this show because it wasn't all about chop kick punch, it had background on his arts Last but never least, Bolo Yeung, what can I say, I think he's real cool. Hope to put more links and work on this site some more in the near future. Thanks, DRAKE |
You may have noticed that other sites aren't here, or other names haven't been mentioned such as Jackie, Steven, or Jean-Claude. Even Mr. Norris isn't here, it's not that I don't like them so I hope this doesn't bother some visitors. I don't really like to compare one artist from another, nor debate an art of a kind. Yes there are some films I enjoyed from all of the aritsts I just mentioned that I haven't listed a link for. I'm sure that Bruce Lee fans would also wonder why I wouldn't include him here. Well, as this site constantly updates, I may eventually put in a link for them. Meanwhile, I spoke with Desiree, who signed my guestbook, and through our discussions, we discovered several common interests. The artists posted on this site was one of them, and she wondered if I would be adding more about each individual on this site. For example, she thought I should mention of Mr. Speakman's art, Kenpo. As we all know, since Mr. Parker's death, Kenpo branched off in different directions. As I am unaware of different aspects of the situation, I don't feel I should comment. What I would like to address, is something Desiree and I agreed on. This was that regardless of which branch you follow, that you always follow the spirit of Kenpo. This was something we both got out of the movie The Perfect Weapon. To us, each martial art has it's own spirit to follow which makes it individual to each art. A certain honor of the art goes with it, and each person learning the art picks up on different aspects of it. Ed Parker touched many lives, but his spirit of Kenpo reached ours through The Perfect Weapon. My next update will be about Oleg, and I certainly have a few comments about Mr. Abbott (Tank) that will go with this one, so be sure to come back to read about it here later. Check out my chat room link below, I may just be there to chat too. Have fun... Thanks, DRAKE |
