After a long, fullfilling journey, Link ventured home to Hyrule. However, his homecoming was not to be. A lighting bolt soon came crashing down, reducing his boat to splinters, and sending Link into the watery abyss. By the time he awoke, he had found himself on inside a home of a young village girl. For a moment she even looked like the Princess Zelda!

This girl, Marin, was actually the one that saved Link's life! She directed him south, towards the shore where she had found him, but not before giving a warning of caution. Nasty monsters have begun to appear shortly after his arrival, but still he had nothing to defend himself. Before leaving, Tarin, Marin's father, returned his shield that had his name engraved on the back. Equipment just like it appeared on shore, stated Tarin. That was Link's cue to go down and check.

As he finally reached Toronbo Shores, Link discovered his lost sword washed along with driftwood. Before he even has the chance to retrieve it, a mysterious owl had flown down from skies to speak to him. Finally it understands the reason of the monsters appearence and actions. It tells Link that he must wake the Wind Fish, for it is the only way off the island and back home. Giving him his next destination, the owl flies off and says nothing more. This adventure turns out to be one of Link's most mysterious and confusing yet!
