~ The
Rose & The Fleur-De-Lis ~
The
English Rose and the Fleur-De-Lis
They met so long ago
in a place, where the tall tree grew
This English Rose said to the Fleur-De-Lis
Come my dear we'll cross the sea
To a land of wonders for to see
So the English Rose said Good-bye to England's shore
To follow her handsome Fleur-De-Lis
To where the trees did grow and the animals did roam free
In this wonderful land so far away
Of which he described so elegantly
To a place they will call home
They built a home and prospered for many a year side by side
The English Rose and the Fleur-De-Lis
Now many a men say it can not be
To live side by side in harmony
Now to be, the Maple Leaf and the Fleur-De-Lis
They never stopped to consider
The love we shared for this vast Country
Where we lost so many to keep it free
In the time of the English Rose and the Fleur-De-Lis
Never will they know, how much it hurts to see
In separate.. My beautiful Fleur-De-Lis
Where we stopped upon the shores, so very long ago
People of Canada, Unite!!
Proclaim the injustice far and wide
We will not separate
We have the right to proclaim Canada and Quebec
Stay whole within this dominion we fought so hard to keep
Where the Fluer-De-Lis flies so proudly, with the Maple Leaf
Let it be known from far and wide
Where ever they fly, is the injustice of willful men
The Rose and the Maple leaf
Only wants harmony in this land
To make it grow
As we work side by side, like we did so long ago
United Canada, help keep our country free from separation
We have the right, for it was our loved ones who died to make it so!
Canada, raise your voices, "No Separation"!!...
Quebec, is part of Canada, and as should remain
To make this a united Canada, a strong Canada
Where our flags can fly side by side, upon this land that we call home.
A place where the English Rose and the Fleur-De-Lis
Fought to make it so,,, For you and me!!!
