| 02/05/01 - I let that kid use my new digital camera one time, against my better judgment. However, he did return it unharmed. But a couple of days later the camera was missing. Better judgment kicked in that time and I resorted to hiding the camera in defense. Today I decided to download the pictures the kid took, make them into a disc for him ... The downloading cables are missing. I feel those pangs of ... Well, I'm not feeling too well. I'm resorting to green tea and Zen-like behaviors to try to quell the feelings. I am not attached, I am not attached. My weekend was wonderful as usual. On weekends I am calm. I watched Alex prune his roses. The weather was beautiful, warm, even hot. I enjoyed watching him get into his craft. He explained the concept. You prune to give the plant shape, get rid of the unnecessary, allow the plant energy for new, more productive growth. Well, that's my take on it. It was truly amazing to watch his concentration. Then he added, you can do your best to guide the direction the plant will take, but ultimately, the plant will do what it wants. Life lessons from nature. |
