Larry Mercugliano's
1972 Nova SS

This is an original Nova SS. It's too bad that it got cut up.
It does have the stock interior, at least from the door panels
forward and all aluminum from the front seats back. It was
back-halfed by a shop in New Jersey which included a
narrowed Dana 60 rear with Mark Williams axels, spool with
4.88's, and a 3-link suspension with aluminum coil-overs. It sits
on 29 x 18.5 street meats and Larry says there is room for more!!

The newly freshened motor is a 355 small block with a Callies
stealth crank, JE 12:1 pistons, Crower rods, Comp Cams roller cam,
brand new Bowtie Phase 6 aluminum heads, that are fully ported
and polished, Manley valves and titanium roller rockers.

On top we start with a Victor Jr intake with a Carb Shop Holley carb.
To ignite the fire, and MSD billet distibuter coupled with a 6AL
ignition and 2-step box get it out of the hole. Getting it all to the
ground is easy with a Cheath turbo 350 tranny, 10" 3000 RPM
converter, and Cheath shifter.

Some other interesting options include a 16 gallon fuel cell which
helps out with the Sunday drive to the market, and a 2nd electric
fuel system for "the squirt" that Larry has not even sampled yet.

Enjoy The Pics!!!
This is just the beginning
