Kg. Baru Evidence Police-Gangster Cruelty

About 2 weeks ago, there was a serious clash between the police and the residents of Kg Baru, a Malay community in Kuala Lumpur. There was a gathering of people wanting to voice out their grievances against the Malaysian Prime Minister and his government machinery. But the police violently broke up the demonstration and brutally beat up the people regardless of age and sex, even the old men and in some case women were also viciously attacked. The police claimed that the people had molotov cocktails (a fire bomb made of bottled kerosene) and also had provoked the police to act in "self defense".

The following is an unverified account & source telling some stories of what happened that fateful Saturday night when the heavy arms of the law were used to crush the people's voices of dissent in Malaysia!

Evidence 1
5 FRU (Federal Reserve Unit or riot squads)& SB(Special Branch or police intelligence agents) beaten up without any mercy with full vengeance one pakcik(old uncle) who was eating at one Kelantanese Kedai Makan (Food stall of Kelantan origin)- name Cheratin. That pakcik was eating with his son and want to leave the place on a motorbike after the FRU/SB were coming towards them. In a rush, he forgot to pick his helmet from the Kedai and when the gangster approached him, all the five SB & FRU surrounded him and started beating him with the baton, kicking his head, bang his back, his leg, punching him on the face, jabbing with his foot on his chest, blood already all over the pakcik, the pakcik was not moving at all and the son was crying hard looking at his father got beaten up by the police gangster.

Looking at such cruelty, the lady cashier of Cheratin was shouting at the police gangster, "WHY DO YOU BEAT UP THAT PAKCIK, HE WAS EATING AT THIS PLACE, HE WAS NOT PART OF THE DEMO." Then the SB shouted to the lady cashier, "YOU SHUT UP" and take out a PISTOL and point blank at her face. She was shivering and frightened like death.

The police gangster didn't stop there. They thought there are people hiding at the back and went to the back and shouting, "WHERE ARE THOSE PEOPLE? DON'T TRY TO HIDE OR WE 'TANGKAP'(arrest) YOU ALL." The workers of Cheratin argued back that they don't know and why are you ransacking my shop. We have nothing to do with the demo. The police gangster then 'CEKUP' (search) all the workers of that Cheratin for voicing against them.

At the back of the Kedai (stall) there was a room rented by a young couple, where the police gangster KICKED THE DOOR of the room and started beating up the husband and the young wife was also being kicked.

The police gangsters CEKUP the pakcik, the husband and the workers of Cheratin.

GO AND MAKAN(eat) AT CHERATIN RESTAURANT at Jalan Raja Uda to verify for yourself.

Evidence 2
There was one SB acting to be one of the demo and start shouting we have to fight back since we are 'anak jati Kg Baru' and he started throwing what to be consider a 'molotov' cocktail filled with kerosene? (supposedly gasoline) but it didn't explode or turn it flame.

Evidence 3
The FRU tried to catch the demo by surprise by coming thru Lorong Mahmud rather than Jalan Raja Uda and there was on SB who was running with nan-cha-ku and chain (weapon used for martial acts before popularised by Bruce Lee)catching the demo. They shouted with fierce voice,"GO INTO YOUR HOUSE." They smashed the gate of one old lady house who as a casual Kg Baru resident on Saturday nite sitting and relaxing outside in her lawn to ask her to go into the house. (Hey this is not curfew for you to ask people to go into their house).

Evidence 4
They rushed to House A and tried to search for 3 reformist (1 guy and 1 couple). They kicked the house and shouted "WHO ASK YOU TO LET THEM IN!!!" They found 1 guy and they beaten him like crazy. The couple has managed to hide and run thru the darkness of the back of Kg Baru houses.

Evidence 5
They moved to the Apartment next to the House A and 20 FRU/SB running up the apt searching for the reformist. Suddenly came up one guy and begging with the name of GOD that he was not part of the demo and don't beat him up. All 20 police gangster then start their boxing, kicking, beating, punching until the blood splashed in the parking lot. As they dragged the boy, there was one SB who wanted to kick his final "TKO" kick, slabbed on the guy chest with his foot.

Evidence 6
As they moved out the Apt. the police gangsters started breaking the motorcycles left in front of the apt. They kicked and smashed the bike on the wheel, lamp, plate, mirror etc. For these idiots, they can do whatever they want on that nite.

Evidence 7
The police gangster started moving thru Lorong Daud as they moved they shouted to people to GO INTO YOUR HOUSE AND CLOSE YOUR DOOR, WINDOWS… Then they started smashing the car windshield. There was one Proton Saga which was totally knocked out front, back, left, right, top. AND THE POLICE GANGSTER DID THIS VANDALISM.

NOTE:
These evidence were transcribed by one of the Kg Baru people who eyewitnessed from their house thru the window & ceiling, the police=gangster cruelty, barbarism, violence, vandalism and destruction.

DEAR REFORMIST,
1. It was a crystal clear that the police-gangster were licensed to beat, bash, threaten and harm the people.
2. It was also clear that there are hundreds/thousands of police, FRU, SB on the scene.
3. It was clear that they have more budget (as announced during the BUDGET 99, RM3bil = RM250mil/mth = M8.3mil/day) to mobilise bigger force with helicopter support, more water cannons etc.
4. It was clear that what Dr M is saying in the media is exactly the other way around. He said it is the demostrators who intend to act violently whereas the police were the ones. He said the foreign news tell lies whereas the local news is worse than the foreign news. He said that the west and its media has his own agenda and they are hungry for power/domination whereas it is him that explicitly has that characteristic.
5. It was clear police-gangster will be brutal on us on the street
