| Friday February 23 What is the role of our police force? Loyal Malaysian Bayan Lepas 12:51pm, Fri: I read Hishamuddin Rais's article with a sense of resignation (Yang mahazalim kita lawan! Feb 20). What can we ordinary Malaysians do in the face of these blatant abuses of power for they must have been condoned in the corridors of power! What is happening in the Seremban's murder accused bail controversy is but a sad reflection of what the rich, powerful and influential can get away with (Murder suspect’s bail extended again, Feb 19). The downtrodden are oppressed further. A simple walk to protest the closure of SRJK(C) Damansara resulted in ordinary citizens who have the courage to voice their unhappiness to be arrested and treated like 'criminals' (Walkathon participants treated like ‘criminals’, Feb 20). |
| Friday February 23 Arrested over a walkathon? Double Standards 12:46pm, Fri: The arrest of the walkathon participants last Sunday is surely yet another record-breaking feat by our law enforcers (Walkathon participants treated like ‘criminals’, Feb 20). Can anyone in his or her right mind imagine the police arresting people participating in a harmless walkathon and treating them like criminals (as claimed by those arrested)? Then again, it may all appear harmless to us lay people, but perhaps it is too embarrassing to the authorities, especially the Barisan Nasional-led government. It may even pose a threat to national security. However, I believe our professional police force probably agrees that it’s a waste of their time and energy. I sympathise with their helplessness. Why do we have to put an unnecessary number of policemen to keep watch over a harmless activity? Does somebody up there think our policemen have nothing better to do? Look at the murders, robberies and gang fights that are being reported, sometimes almost daily; aren't those cases where our police are most needed? This reminded me of the ongoing Suhakam inquiry into police brutality at the Kesas Highway. At one point, Mehrun Siraj had asked a police officer if it was up to the police to decide whether a gathering was illegal or not, or if they took instructions from somebody, and whether they practise double standards in awarding permits for gatherings. Looking at this unnecessary arrest, can anybody blame me for thinking negatively about our police? The malaysiakini report also revealed there was a planned action by the police to make arrests, which goes like this: 1) Tell them to walk in twos and keep a distance. 2) Stop the front pairs. 3) Expect the rest to catch up and force the participants to be close enough to charge them for illegal assembly. 4) Immediately take photos. 5) The end. A perfect ploy, isn't it? I am looking forward eagerly for our police, especially our police chief Norian Mai to respond to this malaysiakini report to clear the good name of our police. |
| UMNO kept alive by PDRM UMNO, dying and collapsing after losing people's support, resorts to the police force for its continued survival. Police are forced to gather "security intelligence" about the reformist and opposition to be served to Mahathir for him to strategise counter measures. They are also ordered to intimidate, threaten, act on UMNO initiated police reports against reformist, to perform scare tactics, and ransack homes of reformist who are active. The police have now degraded to become Mahathir's defending prostitutes, servile and subjugated to follow the orders of a frightened, corrupted cruel dictator. Mahathir has degenerated into a leader who has incriminated himself by committing the worst of sins which includes mega corruption, cruelty, persecution, slander, abusing power to plunder public wealth to enrich his family and cronies. No sane Malaysian want Mahathir anymore, all indication points to the fact that Mahathir is most hated monster stubbornly holding on to power. Malaysians who are detained by the "Police Dr. M", to extract security intelligence on toppling of government are asked to mislead the police by providing false information so that their security intelligence will be rendered worthless. Never ever cooperate with the police on matters of Reformasi, because that is not police work but Mahathir's UMNO work. They are shit scared that they will be toppled, and imprisoned like Suharto. These police who are ruthless in trying to break the spirit of struggle, demoralise and weaken the Reformist, are satan's tools. Curse them so that they will suffer from the wrath of God just like how Mahathir is now suffering terribly in silence. His name rotten, his reputation stinking like shit, his honour lost, his credibility eroded to naught. Day and night is nightmare for satan designate Mahathir, he is deeply disturbed by the fear of being dragged to prison, he worries about his family if he dies, which can happen anytime , because he is 76 with four heart by pass done more than 10 years ago. Such is the endless mental torture for the "king of sinners" Mahathir, who outwardly puts up as if he is okay, but deep inside he suffers from excruciating agony as he ponders over his corruption and sins. A great fear is eating into his being, as he ponders over his fate as a failing corrupt dictator, over the fate of his children who will have no protection once he loses his power or life. So Reformist, push on, the old fool can't hold on much longer, he is frustrated, dejected and frightened, that is why he is panicking and forcing the police to attack and destroy the reformist. But who can stop the power of truth that propels the Reformist, police will just give up once once Mahathir collapses and soon this will happen, so press on and confound the police with deception and mislead them to hell which they deserve for obeying a cruel tyrant.
