Prizes
Six cash prizes totalling NOK 280,000 will be
divided among the finalists:

1st prize: NOK 125,000 (c. USD 14 000)
2nd prize: NOK 75,000 (c. USD 8 000)
3rd prize: NOK 50,000 (c. USD 5 500)
3 finalistprizes: NOK 10,000 (c. USD 1 000)
       

Troldhaugen's Grieg Prize (NOK 10,000) will be awarded for the most outstanding interpretation of Edvard Grieg.

Concert Engagements
The winner of the 1st prize will be offered engagements with the following Norwegian institutions:
- Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra
- Norwegian Concert Institute
- Norwegian Radio Orchestra
- Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra
- Stavanger Symphony Orchestra
- Trondheim Symphony Orchestra

The Norwegian National Opera and Edvard Grieg Museum, Troldhaugen will offer one of the prizewinners an engagement.

The artistic directors of the following Nordic institutions will be present and concider engagements for the finalists:
- The Royal Danish Opera, Copenhagen
- The Royal Swedish Opera, Stockholm
- The Icelandic Opera
