At Dr. T.A. Swift Elementary School, students are expected to demonstrate
the following principles:
• a respect for learning
• a respect for themselves and others, and
• a respect for the environment
Students will demonstrate high standards in both work habits and attendance.
All students will complete all in-school and home assignments to the best
of their ability.
Students will be respectful to each other, to staff, and to visitors.
Any student disagreements will be settled in a fair and non-violent way.
Students are expected to show consideration for the safety of themselves
and others on school property and at all school related functions.
Students are expected to take care of the school building and property.
Consequences:
The development of self discipline is a very important goal at our school.
The aim of the consequences for student misbehaviour is to learn something
from their experience. Therefore, incidents of misbehaviour will be dealt
with on an individual basis. Students will always be encouraged to make
good decisions for themselves.
