Welcome to Dr. Thomas Swift Elementary School. As education is a joint
responsibility (students, parents, teachers), we look forward to your
active participation at Dr. T. A. Swift. Our staff members are anxious
to be able to work with you in all aspects of the school program and will
strive to provide a learning environment that will inspire our students
to reach for excellence.
We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to develop
his/her fullest potential as an individual and as a member of our society.
We recognize individual differences in our pupils and give real assistance
in dealing with them. Programs of study are carefully planned to meet
the students' needs and interests and to stimulate them to form new interests.
We stress academic excellence, the development of physical and social
skills, and the participation in and appreciation of cultural activities.
We believe, as well, that education is the shared responsibility of the
students, the teaching staff, the school community and the Ministry of
Education. Each must do a part to make the educational process successful.
