DIRECTIONS
FOR YOUR PROJECT
|
-
You will choose one of the main characters in your book, and "become" that
character.
-
You will create and write 7-10 illustrated postcards to a friend or family
member, documenting the events that have happened in the book.
-
The front of each postcard will consist of a colored illustration that
relates to the events you've described on the other side of your postcard.
Your illustration needs to be created by you, not a computer, and needs
to use color. Colored pencil or crayons are a better choice than
markers.
-
Your first postcard's illustration will include the book title, the author's
name, and your name.
-
On the back of each postcard, you will write a short letter to a friend
or family member telling them what has happened to you or what you've been
doing. Your letters will summarize the events you're describing and
should include your thoughts, feelings, or reactions to these events.
-
It should be clear from reading your postcards what your main problem or
conflict is, and you will need to include some information about the setting
you are in.
-
You will also address this postcard correctly.
