Weekly
Weekly homework - 30 minutes, 3 times a week! Your child's assignment - Each week your child is expected to read a book at home at least 3 times for 30 minutes. Your child may choose any book to read, but it must be a book. Most students choose to read their book project book (more on that, later!) during this homework reading time.

Monthly Monthly assignment - One book project each month! This month: Newbery Character Poster Your child's assignment - Your child will complete one book project each month. Your child will receive written directions each month for the current book project. The assignments are also posted here. Each month a different genre and project is assigned. Most of the work for the book project is done outside of school, although your child may use base class to work on book projects.
