| Below are the major topics of study in my sixth grade social studies program. In addition to exploring the countries with which we share the Western Hemisphere, our goal is to better understand how our country is connected to its neighbors. We use our textbooks, Time for Kids, the internet, newspapers, videos, and the many resources of our media center as our information resources. Activities in the classroom include reading, discussion, research, and hands-on projects. Students will work independently, with partners, and in small groups throughout the year. |
