| We went to New York City in December 1999. This was supposed to be our mini honeymoon, but it turned out to be a family vacation. Our sisters and brother had also planned to take on the Big Apple after we all attended my cousin Sue's wedding in Washington, D.C. So when we learned of their plans, we invited them along with us. | After going on a shopping spree with me at Bloomingdale's, Linh and I bought souvenirs at the Rock America shop next door to David Letterman's studio on Broadway. Then we went to the Hello Deli to get some grub. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We spent an afternoon standing in the rain to be part of the taping for MTV's Total Request Live, a music video countdown show. The special guest that day was Jennifer Lopez. We didn't get to see her, but we did see the host, Carson Daly, waving to us and the 50 other people who were brave enough to stand outside and scream. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
