LA LUNA

One piercing glance of dangerous intent
Halted my anxious homeward feet
Freezing steps as though held bound by lead
The night air closing thick and sweet

As a moon moth pinned by your dreadful gaze
You flowed as mist through shadows plane
Then wrapped me in your steely arms
And in my hair you breathed my name.
