John was in the basement of the house gathering tools to work on his car and doing some work on his train layout, (another of his hobbies.) While down in the basement he heard what sounded like footsteps on the first floor. The house is quite old, over a hundred years old in fact, so when someone walks across the floor it is nearly impossible to walk without the floorboards creaking. John figured that his mother and stepfather had returned from their errand. When he came upstairs to talk to them however, there was no one present in the house save himself. He checked both first and second floors and found no one in the house. Not finding anyone John went back down to the basement to finish what he was doing. Later when he went out to the garage and Adam showed up to help with the car project, he asked Adam if he was there earlier and if he had come into the house looking for John. Adam stated that he had only been there for about two to three minutes, and had not come into the house at all, but had been in the garage inspecting the progress of the car till John came out three minutes later.

Later when John's mother came home, he asked her if anything out of the ordinary had been happening I the house in the recent past. She said that there had been a few unexplained occurrences, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

PSi plans to keep an eye on the house for anything else that may happen, and will report its findings as they happen.
