There have been many encounters in this house. Ranging from being watched from certain room, being followed through the house, unpleasant feelings, and visible apparitions. Cats have been seen in front of the master bedroom door late at night. People have said to have been watched from the parlor room whenever they have been within sight of it, and then followed up stairs to their bedrooms where the entities stop in front of the doors and refrain from entering the bedrooms. Sometimes they feel as if they are being escorted up the staircase of being gently pushed up the stairs. At times late at night when going to the bathroom they have felt a presence at the top or bottom of the staircase. A different presence has been felt in the basement, but this one has never bothered anyone except for one time when John was down there with a camcorder with the night vision turned on. He felt the presence get very upset and felt that this was because of the camera. He tried to get it on tape but the entity kept moving out of frame. When the entity get increasingly upset John turned off the camera and apologized for upsetting the entity and left the basement for an hour or so. When he returned later that night everything seemed to be fine. The presence was still there, but was not upset anymore. John has since been in the basement to videotape a train layout in the work room, but this do not seem to upset the entity as long as he doesn't try to get it on film. There also seems to be another entity in the attic, yet a different one. This one has eluded capture on film, but doesn't seem to mind the camera. Not much is known about these entities aside from that they seem to have been here for some time. A custom that was brought to John's attention was that in older times wakes were often held in the parlor of the house that the deceased once life their life. Could this explain the presence felt so much from the parlor of this house. And if so why does it follow people around after the pass by the room sometimes.
