Cloudy Sky Plaque
by DWhiteStar
Now
that we have a lovely background, it is time to add some clouds!!
DO
NOT add a new layer, we need to work on the same layer at all times so
that we can pull some of the background into our clouds
Click
on your Airbrush Tool
with foreground color set on white and use the following settings :
Allright...it's
cloud time! LOL! Start near the top of your image and add some curvy
lines as the top of your clouds.
Now
it's time to PUSH that paint around! click on your retouch tool again
and on the tool option window choose "push" again...your settings from
before should qutomatically come up. Grab some of the white paint
in the cloud and pull down softly, working inthe direction of the curves.(
you may want to zoom in a bit on your image while working on the clouds)
repeat
the process again this time pulling the paint a little farther down
Now
choose smudge on your tool option window and the settings from earlier
should automatically come up. Now use the same process as we did
to push the paint but this time use the smudge
Now
following the shape of your cloud move in small to large circular movements
tring not to stray outside of the shape too much...if you do abit, don't
worry...we will be doing that on purpose soon! :)
And
that time is now! LOL! take your smudge tool and following the flow
of the clouds smudge a little of the paint upwards to soften the shape
Now
just move your smudge tool around your cloud and inside it to soften and
to give a little shape till you have something you are happy with!
Now
it's time to add a few more clouds!!! Click on your airbrush tool
again and add a few more cloudtops!
Using
the same technique as before pull and smudge your paint to create a few
more clouds!
Push
that paint!
Then
push some more!
Then
Smudge like you have never smudged before! LOL!
The
great thing about this technique is that no 2 people will create the same
image...in fact it is almost immpossible for you to recreate your own image
the same 2...just like the sky above you it is ever changing....if you
wanted too you could even add a little grey to both the sky and clouds
to change the effect....your only limitations are you imagination!
