Denver Police Station

"Krystina!" Kyle called when he was let out from the convicts' cells area.

"Hey" she ran to him and hugged him. "Gosh, I'm so sorry, I tried to talk with my father, but he is so stubborn!"

"It's okay, really"

"No, it's not okay. You shouldn't have spent the night here"

"Well, it's behind us now" he answered.

"Not yet, my boy" a big mustached white man showed up behind him.

"Kyle, this is Mr. Lord. He is now your attorney. I hired him to represent you"

"Krystina! - "

"My father is not willing to drop the charges against you, and the police already sent your case to the prosecution. You need a lawyer!"

"And you need to tell the truth of course, my boy. Krystina told me all about your connection with the consortium. I have to say that things don't look so good for you right now, but we can get you out of this if you are willing to corporate"

"Corporate? Look Mr. Lord, I'm not - "

"Kyle, not now. Mr. Lord? Can we set a meeting in your office later today? Kyle is pretty upset now"

"Okay, as long he stays in Denver"

"He will, I'll make see to that"

"Call me" the lawyer said and left.

"Krystina, I won't let you pay for all that!"

"You rather spent another night here?"

"No, but - "

"But nothing, and we are not going to discuss this anymore, now let's go to your home, there's too many policemen here" she said and pulled him out of the station.

"I bet your father doesn't know what you are doing, right?" he asked her when they entered her car.

"No, but I'm certainly going to tell him, and convince him to drop the charges against you!" she answered and started the car.

The black B.M.W behind them was already started and drove after them, to Kyle's home.

Colby Co-Alexis Colby's new office

Alexis Colby began her day recovering form the fact that her sister Caress had taken full control of her company, and exiled her to this reached dump. "Damn that little tramp." Alexis's youngest son looked up form the files that he had been working on. He hated to see his mother in such a fowl mood.

"Did you say something Mother?" Steven asked softly.

"I can't believe that I'm stuck in this hole in the wall office, while my sister re-decorates my office." Alexis stamped her feet like a little girl. "It just isn't fair. How dare Dominique sell my sister those shares, how could she? Damn her too!"

"Mother, there is no use going over the past; there is nothing you can do about it." Steven sighed, stood up and looked at his mother. "I just wish I didn't have to go away with Sammy Jo this week, but Danny needs us."

"I understand that your son needs you, but does that tart have to follow you?" Alexis had always hated Sammy Jo, and as the years went on that hatred only deepened.

"Oh please don't start that again, she's Danny's mother"

"That doesn't stop the fact that the woman is a slut. Why she's been in more beds than a hotel breakfast tray." Alexis smiled in triumph.

"Mother keep the put downs to yourself, okay? I loved Sammy Jo once, and I still do in a way, but I will not have her degraded by you. We are going away together and that is final." Steven was tired of the two women in his life putting each other down.

"Well, if that's what you say, dear." Alexis said as Steven began to gather the files he had been working on. "Oh and don't forget to drop those proposals by accounting when you go."

"I won't mother, I'll see you at the party we are giving for Danny. You will be there, right?"

"Of course I will, he is my grandson you can. You count on that" Alexis answered. Though she hated Sammy Jo, she didn't intend to let her separating her from her son and grandson, and she certainly needed this party.

"I'll see you there then. Bye" Steven shook his head as he left; it was a sad sight to see the great lioness that was his mother packed into an office fit for an intern.

As Steven was leaving the outer office Krystle bumped into him knocking the files out of his hand. "Oh Steven, I'm sp sorry!"

"Krystle, what are you doing here?" Steven said puzzled.

"Well, I just have to speak with Blake, he still here, right?" Krystle asked.

"I believe he left already; any way I have to run, but you can ask the secretary, maybe she knows when he left" He said as he took off.

"She told me he was still here" she murmured to herself and was ready to turn back when her eyes notes the sign "Alexis Colby" on the door's office next to her. She smoothed the wrinkles out of her dress before knocking on Alexis' door.

"Come in" Alexis bellowed. She was shocked to see Krystle standing in her doorway. "Well, well, Krystle what do I owe the pleasure of your visit."

"I wanted to speak to Blake. Do you know when he left?" She said as she entered the room, looking around her. it was obvious that Caress throw Alexis out from the main office.

"Strange thing, you know, when I was married to Blake I always knew where to find him." Alexis smiled; it made her feel better to belittle Krystle.

"And where would that be Alexis." Krystle asked not really caring, she was worried about Blake's health, and this woman wasn't doing him any good. His cell phone was closed, and she was worried about him.

"What a question, in my bed, of course."

"Yes he probably was in your bed once, but sadly he would have been there alone, because you were in someone else's bed. You were the town slut." Krystle said with satisfaction. After years of having Alexis berate her, she had learned a few tricks.

"Oh, feeling a little frisky this morning? Well to shay Krystle. But form a simpering wimp mouth to god's ear as they say."

"Alexis, I'm in no mood for your games, I just came to find Blake, do you know when he left, or not?"

"As I said we had a meeting this morning with Caress, I'm surprised you didn't know, but again, I guess Blake doesn't tell you everything." Alexis said as she turned her attention to the computer screen in front of her, but Krystle was not so quick to be dismissed.

"I did heard about this meeting, Alexis - and I want you to stay away form Blake, he hasn't fully recovered and he doesn't need to be intertwined with your affairs. I may despise you Alexis, but you are a strong and powerful business woman, and you are capable of cleaning up your own messes." Krystle turned to leave, but Alexis beckoned to her.

"Was that a complement Krystle I'm rather touched, but I need Blake's help, and if you remember he was fighting the consortium as well, why don't you go and do some charity work, and leave Blake to me."

"Why, so you can seduce him too?" Krystle said as she turned to face Alexis.

"And what is that supposed to mean?"

"I don't trust you, Alexis. If you hadn't poked your claws into Dex again, Sable wouldn't have had her accident, she would be alright, and Dex would be with his son."

"Wait a minute!" Alexis stood up, but Krystle cut her.

"Stay away form Blake, Alexis! I mean that!" she said and with that turned to leave; she slammed the door before Alexis could comment.

"Damn you, you haggard bitch!" Alexis tossed the files she had been working on into the air.

The Carrington Mansion

Adam Carrington came into the study, tore off his jacket, and began pouring himself a drink. He had spent the last hour in the city morgue, looking at several Jane Doe's Thankfully, none of them turned out to be Dana. "I'm probably the cause of all this, if she wasn't connected to me Mrs. Litton wouldn't have had any reason to harm her." He said to himself and took a drink. "If any thing happens to her I will never recover. I can't be responsible for another life."

Amanda had been standing at the door when Adam had spoken his last sentence. "You are not responsible for any of this." Amanda came into the room and took Adam's hand leading him away form the bottles. "Where have you been?"

"At the Harmon Springs morgue. The police found a body, thank god it wasn't Dana's"

"You see? That's good news! That means she's out there somewhere, and we are going to find her." Amanda said as she hugged him.

"Amanda, what would I do without you." Adam smiled. It felt good that some one in his family cared about him, well besides his son. "Come on, I'm going to shower and then let's take the kids to the park."

"I think they would like that." When the words were out of her mouth Joseph ran into the room being chased by Cathy. "Hold on there, you two, what's going on." Amanda called. Joseph ran behind her and Cathy was trying her best to touch Joseph.

"We're playing tag, mommy, and I'm going to get him!" Cathy laughed as she tried to tag Joseph.

"Yes, but you'll never catch me." Joseph said as he ran to the other side of the room.

"Okay you two, you stay in here and play for a few minutes while I go and change, and then Amanda and I are going to take you to the park." Adam and Amanda left the room as Joseph and Cathy shouted Yeah, and then went quickly back to playing tag. Neither one noticed the shrill beeping coming form the fax machine on Blake's desk; they were too busy playing tag. The machine produced a document with a photo of Dana, tied to a chair and looked frightened. Above her photo was printed the words "Looking for me? Call 784-555-8989"

Joseph and Cathy were running by the desk when a draft forced the thin fax into the air, and as it glided for a landing it fell beneath Blake's desk.

Few hours later - The Mansion

Blake and Krystle sat around the dinner table with Fallon and Jeff while Janette served dinner.

"Where's everybody?" Fallon asked, wondering where Amanda and Adam were, and what they're up to now.

"Well I think Amanda is at Alexis's with Cathy. And Adam is upstairs, resting" Blake answered.

"He is still trying to find Dana?" Fallon asked.

"Yes he is. He insists she was at the charity ball," Blake answered.

"You really think she was there, Blake?" Jeff asked but before Blake said something, Fallon interfered.

"I'm sure it was only a dream. Or maybe it is only another cruel joke he made"

"I don't think so, Fallon. It's not the same Adam anymore. Ever since Kirby died he's changed" Krystle said. She truly believed her stepson had changed this time, despite all the troubles and problems he caused to the family in the past.

"Adam can't change, Krystle. I'm sure he is still hurt from what happened to Kirby, but Adam will always be Adam. Besides, if you think about that, what could possibly bring Dana back to Denver after all those years? She didn't keep in touch with him all this time; it's not making any sense. When she finally left Denver she hated Adam for all the things he had done to her."

"And what if the consortium is really involved here too? It could be" Krystle asked and looked at Blake.

"Well we can't decline that option, but it is strange that nobody has seen or heard from her back in Billings."

"Exactly" Fallon improved Blake's words.

"I still think all the answerers are with Caress, I'm sure she knows something about that too" Jeff said.

"And I believe I could find out the truth if Alexis wouldn't have interfered; I should have know nothing good will come of that meeting with her" Blake said when he heard the main door slammed and two seconds later Krystina showed up in the room.

"Krystina, thank god! Where have you been?" Krystle was relief to see her daughter.

"At Kyle's. I escort him back home after the police released him, but I'm sure daddy knows all about that, right daddy?"

"Blake?" Krystle asked her husband. He didn't tell her anything about that. He knew how worried she would be.

"This guy is a creep! You should stay away of him, Krystina!"

"No, you are wrong! He is a good guy; he didn't know what the consortium planned to do"

"Darling, please! Can't you see what he is trying to do? He is manipulating you!"

"No, he loves me!" the girl insisted.

"Honey…" Fallon interfered, "You are so young and na?ve, you should listen to daddy… he doesn't want to see you hurt"

"But I am hurt! I'm hurt that you think I'm a na?ve and stupid! Well I'm not! And I know Kyle!"

"No, you don't know him. God, the guy told you he worked for the consortium! Have you totally forgotten what they caused this family? They killed Kirby! They kidnapped Dex! Because of them Sable is gone now!"

"He didn't have anything to do with all this. He swore to me and I believed him!" Krystina raised her voice.

"Honey, please clam down first" Krystle tried.

"No, not until you'll drop the charges against him" the girl didn't give up.

"I can't do that, Krystina, I'm sorry," Blake answered.

"He is innocent!"

"No he is not!" Blake began to loss his patience.

"Blake, please calm down" Krystle asked him. "Krystina, let's go to the study, we'll talk there"

"No, the only place I'm going to is to Kyle's!"

"You will certainly do not!" Blake stood and was ready to stop his daughter from leaving.

"Watch me!" she yelled and left the room.

"Krystina, Krystina!" Blake tried to run after her but was too weak.

"I'll go after her" Fallon left the room going after her sister, while Blake almost fell down.

"Blake…" Krystle hold him and Jeff ran over them to help her.

"I'm fine, I'm fine" the old man said.

"Take this" Krystle gave him a glass of water.

"I'll kill the bastard" he whispered, upset when Fallon came back to the room.

"I'm sorry, daddy. I missed her" she said to the old man.

"It's all right, sweetheart, it's all right" Blake said determined to stop his daughter from seeing Kyle.

Alexis's penthouse

"Good evening Mr. Powers." Alexis's Chinese servant welcomed Zach. With a black formal suit he entered the penthouse flat and looked around him, looking for Alexis. He knew how miserable she had been lately and he convinced her to go out with him for dinner.

He handed his coat to the servant. "Good evening, Lin. Is Mrs. Colby ready?"

"She is still upstairs." The discreet servant answered.

Zach was a bit annoyed about Alexis constantly being late, but only smiled and made he comfortable on the couch while waiting for her. Only a few minutes later the servant came to him with a look Zach didn't liked.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Powers, but Mrs. Colby asked me to inform you she won't be going out tonight"

"Of course she is, what are you saying?"

"I suspect Mrs. Colby doesn't feel so good this evening, sir" Lin explained.

"I assume this drink is for Mrs. Colby?" He asked when he notes to the glass the servant held, and hiding his annoyance behind his usual charming smile.

"Yes sir."

"Fine, I'll bring Mrs. Colby the drink myself." He said determined, taking the glass from her and making his way up the steps. He entered the lavish bedroom and stopped for a moment, looking around. It was marvelous. But Alexis wasn't in here. Her evening gown still lay on the bed. Zach turned to the bathroom door. It stood slightly open. He couldn't hear anything, but Zach knew she had to be in there. He carefully opened the door wider and entered the large bathroom to find Alexis lying in the tub amidst a foam bath. Her eyes were closed. He slowly approached her, sat down on the edge of the tub. "It doesn't look as if you were ready for dinner!" Zach started, placing the martini down next to an empty glass beside the tub.

Alexis's eyes opened at the sound of his voice. "Zach," she exclaimed. The tone of her voice made obvious that she was lightly drunk. "I rather don't want to go out for dinner tonight. Now that everybody knows about me loosing ColbyCo. I can imagine the snide remarks about that bit of information ... The mighty Alexis Colby was defeated by a nobody in the business. I couldn't stand the faked pitying looks, the whispering and laughing behind my back. Zach, please understand I can't bear this humiliation." Being not in total control of her life and the world around her made her feel weak, and she hated that feeling more than anything else.

Zach sighed. He knew she was right. Her reputation was damaged and he felt sorry for her. "So you're giving up and drowning your problems in alcohol." He asked reproachful.

Alexis dismissed him with rolling her eyes. "Oh stop it, Zach! I'm fine. Don't I look fine?" She replied ironically, picking up her martini and sipping from it.

Zach put his hand under her chin and lifted her face up to make her look in his eyes. "No, you do not. This isn't like you. The Alexis I used to know would fight for what was hers and win all of her company back. You need to pull yourself together and make everybody realize that nobody can steal your empire for good!" He reminded her.

Alexis sighed and closed her eyes in frustration. "This damned sister of mine; it's all I can think about. I want her out of ColbyCo, out of Denver, and out of my life."

"You will. It's only a matter of time." He assured her. "I'll do everything I can to help you."

Alexis placed her glass down and sat up. "Then give me your five percent of ColbyCo stock."

Zach raised his eyebrows and smiled his most self-assured and charming smile. "You have my shares already, darling."

Alexis seductively got out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her body. She stepped over to a large mirror, letting her hair that had tied up fall about her shoulders.

Zach scanned her figure closely while his excitement was growing. Time had treated her very well. She looked gorgeous and could easily compare with women half her age.

"I do not only want to control your shares, I want to own them, Zach." She said demanding, while looking into the mirror and seeing Zach approaching her from behind.

He ran his hand along her bare shoulders, gently pulling her hair to the side and placing a kiss on her neck. "Selling my shares to you is more than a small favor." He objected only halfhearted.

"Selling? Zach, you know that I can't pay you right now." She replied annoyed.

He put his hands around her slim waist and turned her around to face him. "Ah, you just want me to give them to you?" He playfully asked. "Well Alexis, I'm a businessman, but you know my feelings for you." He added, seizing the opportunity of progressing things further. He leaned closer and kissed her lips.

Alexis offered no resistance. On the contrary she willingly returned the kiss, trying to be as passionate as possible and encouraged him to go further. Zach smiled content about her giving in finally as the kiss came to an end. He had longed for this moment to happen since he had come to Denver months ago.

"You're irresistible." He said, remembering the exciting time they had spent together. Her mind too raced back to this time, but she couldn't help but feel only little attraction for Zach anymore. Nevertheless she played along. Zach was a powerful man and Alexis felt that she needed him, after Caress return to Denver even more than ever before. She couldn't afford to loose him. Besides these pure pragmatically reasons the alcohol made it easier for her to get intimated with Zach.

She placed one hands on his shoulders and tenderly ran her other hand along his cheek, anticipating his answer.

"I love you. I would give you anything you ask for, you know that" He said, pulling her towel off and letting it fall to the floor.

A smile spread across Alexis's face and they passionately kissed.

"The hell with dinner" she said while kissing him.

"Why, do you have something else in mind?" he asked, but already knew the answer. He waited for that for a long time now, and it's finally was going to happen. He wanted her, and she knew that.

"I certainly do" she answered, took his shirt off and after kissing him, went to her bed. Zach dragged after her and joined her into the bed - and made love with her.

Kyle's Apartment

Krystina was in the shower, letting the water flow over her soft gentle body with the tears that swept on her face. She was so hurt when Blake refused to drop the chargers against Kyle. She loved her father so much - but together with that, she loved Kyle. She wanted so much the two most important men in her life to get along and hoped eventually her father would understand she loved Kyle and want him to stay in her life.

"Krystina? I'm home!" she heard Kyle entering the apartment.

"I'll be out in a second!" she called back, turned the water off and dried her wet body with the white towel Kyle gave her.

"Can I come in?" Kyle knocked on the door.

"One second" she wrapped the towel around her naked body and fixed her hair. "Come in" she said. Kyle opened the door slowly and a big smile showed on his face when he saw her.

"Wow! How sexy you are, all wet" he said and hugged her. She smiled back but couldn't hide the tears that were still shown in her eyes. "Hey… you've been crying?"

"Oh no, it's nothing; the soap slipped into my eyes"

"I know it's not the soap, Krystina. I know how much you want your family to accept me"

"And they will. Once they know you"

"I'm not sure they'll want to know me. I'm the bad guy in this story, Krys"

"No, don't say that. You are not bad. You just got into this awful situation without knowing all the facts"

"Well your father does not know that" B
"He will, I'm sure he'll understand eventually, everything will be all right, you'll see" she said and he smiled to her.

"I hope so"

"I know so" she smiled and kissed him. "What's in the bag?" she asked when she saw a nylon bag put down on the floor, at the doorstep.

"Oh, I almost forgot. It's for you. I hope it'll fit your size" he said and pulled out a package. "Open it, it's all yours!" he looked at her while she opened the package.

"Oh, Kyle, You shouldn't have!" she called when she took out a white cotton nightgown. "It's beautiful!"

"So you like it?"

"Of course I like it! Oh Kyle, thank you, you so sweet" she kissed him.

"I'm glad. I thought that you might need one if you going to stay the night here"

"Oh, am I going to spent the night here?" she asked with a big smile on her face and he smiled back.

"I love you Krystina, I love you so much" he caressed her face and they kissed her.

Colby-co Building, Steven's office - The Next Morning

Steven was sitting behind his messy desk, reading some repots he had to complete before leaving with Sammy Jo and Danny later today. Though it was Sunday, and he usually stayed home on that day, he decided to come to the office. Work wasn't the only reason he was there though. He called to Jim last night and asked him to come. Since Ashley was now living with Jim, he didn't want to take the chance she'll see them again in an awkward situation and invited him to Colby-Co.

"Looks like a hurricane flew by." Jim entered and headed for Steven. Steven smiled as Jim approached him and passionately kissed him.

"So can I drag you away for a breakfast?" Jim asked.

"Jim, I'd love too, but things are hectic and there's so much to do before I leave for New York. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you when I get back." He brushed Jim's hair, pulling for him in for a kiss but Jim pushed him away.

"If you'll still want me when you get back"

"What is that suppose to mean""

"This is your chance to finally decide what to do about Sammy Jo and I have a feeling I'll be at the losing end"

"Look Jim, Sammy Jo and I share a lot but we're just friends. The only reason we agreed to this because it was the only way to make sure that Danny goes away for college. What ever happens, Sammy Jo and I have already agreed to remain just friends. Nothing more"

"You really think you and Sammy Jo could be just friends? Have you ever been just friends?" Steven didn't answer, Sammy Jo and he had been many things, but "just friends" never really worked between them.

"I didn't think so. Can you blame me for being jealous?"

"So it's alright for you to sleep with us both but we can't sleep with each other. You're kidding right?"

"Steven, you didn't seem to mind last week"

"And you didn't seem to mind when you tried to convince me that you've been where I was"

"I have and I know the consequences, I lost everything, I don't want you to go through the same pain"

"You have nothing to worry about"

"I wish I could believe that, you have a choice to make and if you honestly think that sharing a bed with Sammy Jo is going to help you're wrong. The only way is to keep your distance"

"Sorry Jim, your ploys won't work on me either. I have already committed. But you are right, I do have a decision to make and I intend to make it this weekend once and for all. Sammy Jo deserves to know where I stand, where our relationship stands"

Jim was angry. This was not going where he wanted which only increased his fears, Steven and Sammy Jo both wanted to go ahead with this. What if Steven decides he wants Sammy Jo is whom he wants; Jim knew he'd lose them both.

"You've made your choice the day you moved in with her, no wonder you never had a long serious relationship, you're still in love with Sammy Jo and can't admit you sold yourself out!" Jim yelled.

Steven was about to punch him when Jim stopped him, "Save it for the next time we're in bed together, Sammy Jo will never be enough for you, and you know that"

"Let me guess! - You feel the same way! Well we also know that you will never be enough for - Sammy Jo but I will"

"We'll see about that!" Jim marched out and slammed the door .

Steven threw the files on his chair and sat down. Jim was right, it was time the three of them have some choices to make, and they can't go on like this.
