First Nine Weeks

Students' grades will be determined by averaging three areas:

  1. Participation - Students will be expected to perform at the following events: (Grade will be determined by participation, performance, and correct dress)
    1. All Performances
    2. Participation In All Extra Rehearsals
  2. Class work - Students will be graded on participation, attitude, discipline, and effort
  3. Playing - Playing tests will be given to determine playing level. Opportunities will be given to challenge for a higher chair during tests.

    Second Nine Weeks

    Students' grades will be determined by averaging three areas:

  4. Participation - Students will be expected to perform at the following events: (Grade will be determined by participation, performance, and correct dress)
    1. Concert (December)
  5. Class work - Students will be graded on participation, attitude, discipline, and effort
  6. Playing - Playing tests will be given to determine playing level. Opportunities will be given to challenge for a higher chair during tests.

    1. Concert (Feb.)
    2. Participation In Band & Orchestra Festival
  8. Class work - Students will be graded on participation, attitude, discipline, and effort
  9. Playing - Playing tests will be given to determine playing level. Opportunities will be given to challenge for a higher chair during tests.

    Fourth Nine Weeks

    Students' grades will be determined by averaging three areas:

  10. Participation - Students will be expected to perform at the following events: (Grade will be determined by participation, performance, and correct dress)
    1. Concert (April)
    2. Participation In Memorial Day Parade
    3. Participation in Graduation
  11. Class work - Students will be graded on participation, attitude, discipline, and effort
  12. Playing - Playing tests will be given to determine playing level. Opportunities will be given to challenge for a higher chair during tests.
